Murax
My mom, grandma, aunts, are all light skinned, and they are Geledi. I've seen this Rahanweyn girl and she was light as anyone else I've ever seen.
Sade boi
If we were Oromo before Darood came then we spoke Oromo, and Darood came and he spoke Arabic, wherer the hell did the language come from? A language doesn't form in less then a 1,000 years. Somali is older then Darood or any other clan lineage we have now. Either the Arab thing is a myth, or your an ethnic Yemeni.
Somali folklore 101: A stranger from Arabia comes and marries a Somali girl.

Darood and Isaaq origin in Arabta is flawed and can be proven linguistically, biologically, genetically, as false.......
Somalis are filled with cuqdad.... hawiye is not oromo and dir is not either...

I constantly see people posting here that somalis are the oldest people and some of the most pure. If this is so why is there so much confusion and conflicted theories about somali origins? Was somlali history simply not recorded?

Somali didn't have an official written language until 1972. Most written things is by Arabs, and Europeans. Somali history was through oral poetry (shirib)

I am not getting anything... Have you ever read a Y-chromosome study done on Somalis?
Somalis whether Hawiye, Dir, Rahanweyn, Darood, Isaaq have indigenous paternal descent...
THIS "SHEIK" stuff is all B.S

I would have to cosign that. Ignoring all the folklore, we can conclude that Somali is its own unique race. I remember a very long time ago I was very interested in finding out about Somali-Arab origins and after reading some reknowned anthropologists work, they concluded that Somalis pretty much no connection with Arabs and more with Cushitic ethnic groups. Upon reading those findings I accepted it. The worst and most lowliest stage I can think of in life is trying to be accepted into something you're not.

Who is he to judge about somalinomo.he has put somalis in the greatest danger by selling out the country to the enemy, and yet he is questioning Jereerweyne ,a real patriotic somalis about their somalinimo..

I'm from Northern Somalia. I have never heard of Bantus until I went on Somali forums. That's how little Somalis care for this group of people. They don't speak the same language as I do nor do they have the same history. Marrying a Bantu would be like marrying an African American/Caribbean and I have no desire to do that.

we dont marry them because they are a different ethnic group and they retain a lot of their origins from tanzania and zanzibar area, even their tribal origins
i mean, they are Muslims, speaking somali, but there is a clear cut difference between us
you get what im saying?
