I don't get why Southerners expect the North to lead all the efforts in reconciliation and unification. As well, the concept of leaving Somaliland alone will further strain relations with Koonfur. It should be the South who should come to Hargeisa to lead talks of negotitations. Reer Waqooyi came to you guys in 1960 and what did we get in return? NADA. So we don't feel compelled to do so again
I will support a unified Somalia under the following conditions:
1. 50% of the members of Parliament must hail from the North.
2. If Mogadishu is kept as the capital, then there should be extensive revitalization efforts in infrastructure for the Northern cities (Hargeisa, Burco, Berbera, Borama)
3. Those responsible in the events that occurred in 1988 be brought to to the International Court for war crimes.
If we're expected to unify, then we shouldn't be treated like 2nd class citizens like in the past and we should get compensation for what has occurred to us in the past.

many somali territories are under Ethiopia, Kenya in this present day. The British left Somaliland thank to it's people.
British Somaliland & Italian Somaliland was foreign projects intended for division of Somalis. Thanks to Nationalists from both former protectorates Unification was realised and the blue flag was created
That is a thing of the past. Somalis are more divided now than ever even compared to when the colonials set foot in east africa.
No one is divided, its only 1 clan screaming causing the rest ear bleeding
North Somalia is Somalia and no amount of fake passports or documents or even occasional visit will change that. We are a Country recognised by 196 different countries.

You blame the SOUTH of not being fair to the NORTH, when you're not being fair to your own NORTHERN REGIONS.
You mentioned Hergeisa, Burco, Berbera as Northern Cities, as if they're the only NORTHERN TOWNS. You included Borama, because it's a well known city and you wanted to squeeze it in there to try and seem "unbiased".
The problem is not SOUTHERNERS taking over everything. The problem is Beesha Isaaq with cuqdad and greed.
You mention the event of 1988, but what about the event of 1991, the massacre of the Daaroods both in Northern Somalia and Southern Somalia?

lol@ no one is divided kulaha. If if there was no division there wouldn't be AMISOM, Al shabab bombarding your capital. Nor would TFG mps be banned from setting a foot in Puntland.

That is a excellent reasoning. here is what i Think about your proposes
1. Yes 50% must hail from the North and 50% of the South
2. Hargeisa is Somalia´s second biggiest city of course it needs sewage systems and basic infrastructure, and ofcourse that will be on the National goverments Agenda.
3. Those responsible for war crimes will be forwarded to the Hague Court. But are you ready to also give up Riiyale among others wich also was Head of the SNA intelligence and responsible for massacres of other clans including your own.
If you are ready to take that step, then im ready to agree with you.
Other then that you are one of the few sensible Isaaqs in this section, dont be sucked in to their pro Ethiopian/ Anti Somalia culture

The outcomes will be the same, ofcourse the hardcore Issaqs will vote for separation, but there will be many Issaqs as well as majority of Gadabursi and like 99% of Harti will vote for Unity. The picture would be alot different if all the clans I mentioned above were on the same wagon, however they aren't and we have take that in account. There will be no preferential treatment as there's no special qabiil, I say Somaliland should put side their pride and come to the table for negotiation.
