Lol, no, I can't! You clearly haven't been reading my posts lol. I'm positive Somalis are inherently dispositioned toward emotional vacancy and hardheadedness. We're not capable of proper dialogue. Nope.

Lol @ shukaansid. Never. It's mostly back-and-forth sarcastic remarks and jabs at each other. I have no room in my head for those mind games.

Please, don't get me wrong. I have no animosity toward you lot. Somali women have become the backbone of our society, especially in the diaspora. They have had to become both mother and father, teach both deen and culture, and no one can say anything directly negative about their efforts. Our sisters the same. They are educated, hardworking, and have high standards. There are times I'm extremely proud to call myself Somali, simply due to these facts.
Saraxnow wrote:So what are you going to do about it? Have Islamic schools then. Kids are learning stuff that we don't agree with at a young age then we fight back. Are you going to let things go without a challenge? Again, if you're mum could do it with you then what says others can't either?

Dude, the moment you think there is no hope is when you're screwed, I think you just killed yourself lol
Wallaahi Islamic schools are no different. Don't fool yourself. When both parents live in the city and work 9-5s, who will raise the kids? Believe me, it will be their friends, parties, schools, clubs, and malls.

LamaG, it is your right to go to Somalia and find a wife there, but it is not your right to insult all Somali women in the diaspora. I can admit that there are many Somali women who have issues keeping the marriage intact but the failure isn't solely their responsibility since it takes two tango. And since also there are many Somali men in the diaspora can be very irresponsible towards their families, fadh ku dirir and the like, why shouldn't there be some women who mistreat them O generous sperm-bank donors. Think

@Alpha, waayahay , You were a miracle then

Waa run oo kuwa magaalooyinka waaweyn degan waa halaq; laakin tuulooyinka iyo baadiyaha waxaa laga helaa naago fiican.

Xataa kuwa magaalooyinka degan waa iska masaakiin laakin waxaa muhiim ah inaan la keenin dibada.

Alpha,
Language is not a barrier to love. You'd love the baadiya atmosphere; have you been to canadian summer cottages? life in Baadiyo is the same as that.

Women in the diaspora are dogs of war, dogs of material things.

Saraxnow, you are right about the generalisation issue. Of course, there are bad apples too in the male populations. But, it is the somali woman who feels that she has gained a testicle in the diaspora. You can hardly find a good woman.

Had you known me, you wouldn't say that.

And my point about the 9-5s and children was about the coming generation(s).

Greenday  there is no poor girl in the diaspora; there are only opportunists; the remnants of caraweelo.

Salool, ilaah baan kugu dhaarshe ma aragtay naag aan gold digger ahayn? it is typical; they start by saying I love you for who you are; I will be a good wife, mom etc. After a few years (which you have satisfied her desires) you are the antichrist.

Saraxnow,  I am thinking of taking him to somalia and get him a gashaanto so that he does not become a victim; I know vicious xawaaleys thrive on his kind of innocence.
You're joking right? :?

Bacda fews years dad oo dhan way is nacaan waxaas wa iska caadi, xiisihi ba dhamaadey.Marku xiisuhu dhamaadu bey xaqiiqado bilaabanta, either you stick with eachother or leave.Sadly, only few marriages pass that stage and the couple become friends.Laakin badankooda waqtigan la joogo furitaan bey ku danbaysa.Backhome dadku maba is arki jirin oo qof kasta freedomkiisa ayuu lahaan jiray, naagtu jaariyad amba ehelki ba caawineyey.Naagta mesha ay doonto iyo arooska ay rabto ayey tagiy jirtay, ninkuna sida si leeg.Habeenki uun ba la isku imaan jiray dadki oo happy ah.Laakin meshan labadi qof mid kasta kii kale bu cagtiisi ilaalinaya, ninki nafis heli maayo marku shaqo ka so rawaxo, naagti oo maanta dhan oo aqal iyo ciyaal siday oo dhex taagned ku dhex waaltey bu imaaneya.Waar caruurta hay iyo adigu hay ba meshi ka dhacaysa.
Reer soomalia ba 5anta subaxnimu tellefon kugu kicinaya..naag lacag so dir..isagi ba dhinac laga qaylinaya...lacagti gurigu way yartahay..ma wax bay dhigan, ma dad bey biilin..ma vacation bey oo bixi...yacni amuuruhu way fara badan yehiin.Like mom always say, life was simple and stress free backhome.

Wht i'm trying to tell you is, mushkilada maaha dumarka ee waa wadankan aynu imanay iyo somali mentalty that never change.

You generalize all women way to much. You rant and yapp about how much child support you pay to God knows how many children you've fathered but let me ask you this, what is your relationship with your children like? How are they doing in school, or do you even know their school/teachers? Who is their doctor? How are they doing in general what are their ambitions? How often do you see them?
If you answer to any of those questions don't even write 'em down but in your head and you know them then congrats. You are a good dad and sorry but not all women again are the same. Most marriages in these days fall apart due to the environment we live in and our culture being mixed up. E.g wife wants a hubby who is attentive to all of her needs yet cooks, cleans, helps around with house chores, also works and provides for them nicely. Husband wants the wife to work outside and still keep up with all of her duties 100%. Or the wife/hubby having unrealistic ideas in their head about marriage and then when it comes down to the struggles one of them lives in lala land so the whole marriage bond breaks down. Yacni we can't have it all something's gerra give

The blame is shared 50/50 lakiin adiga you come off as though if you do not accept your share of the blame instead of obsessing over getting an 'innocent' wife from the baadiye and training her like your dog.. wallahay sheeka kuu laaban dalkii ku noqon you'll laugh your head off at how the sisters there are, they're way ahead of all of us here. Waliba waxbay sii dheeryihiin dadka halkan ku nooli waa waayo arag. Dumarka
qurbaha well the ones I know way ka dhaqaale badanyihiin again my small circle of friends that I know of are hard working mothers who actually work outside their homes oo aan shaqada ku bartay. Who save and have higher aims for their childrens colleges/future etc. Kuwa dalkii jooga waxaad u dhiibtaba malin bay dabka saarayaan. Not only that lakiin adiga waxaan kuu rajaynayaa mid ku barta edeb in aad heshid oo marka aad kasoo tagtid nafta lacag kuugu keenta walibana ku yar oo nac nac ah halkaa ka hesha(behind ur back)while you work your behind off halkan...kkk just to teach you a lesson.

Da'da aad ka hadlaysid halkana well its a somali thing qof walba wuu ka cararayaa da diisa lakiin the thing is you can usually tell how old someone is so I don't understand this logic. If you are a mom that's it..to me your 'gabarnimo' days are over so embrace it and say Alhamdullillaah.
