I asked a question on my first post here and never got a clear answer but a long post abt nothing.
I ask u again,What makes u think u can have the right to decide what people consider a marriage? Will u be ok with it today if it was upto the citizens of ur country if u could wear ur hijab or not?
I dont see how u can hug a gay(why are u hugging men again?) and decide he doesnt belong in his own society.
What Kim shared is her opinion, like u shared ur`s,how do u even dare suggest an elimination of her from this society because she doesnt follow ur views just astonishing.
Tushi, Do you understand the meaning of Democracy? It is the manifestation of the will of the people to pursue for themselves their social construct, their societal norms, their state laws. What makes us think we can have the right to decide what is considered a marriage is the laws of our respective countries, they put the question up to us. They ask by citizen referendum to add something or to take something from the laws of the land.
As for the tyranny of the majority, there is stops in place, such as "bill of rights", "anti-discrimination based on religion, sex, sexual orientation, color, race" etc. If those are passed then the courts come into play to decide if it has transgressed the constitution.
