Somali spot attracts all kinds of degenerates. There are a few level-headed people there, but most of them are hardcore atheists/faggots who peddle their gaalnimo under the guise of Somali nationalism. They say that they're against the Arabization of Somalia yet they wholeheartedly support Western ideologies. If they were a bit more consistent, they would at least try to develop a distinctly Somali/African ideological framework instead of latching on to yet another ajnabi paradigm. They simply want to trade one ajnabi for another.

Make no mistake: their obsession with Arabs is based on their hate for Islam. They don't want to accept the fact that Islam has become an integral part of our identity. We went to war for it. Bled for it. Established entire civilisations based on it. Are we supposed to reject it now for the sake of a few khaniisiin in our midst who simply want us to accept their fetishisation of man-butt?

As for Somalinet, then your observation is totally correct. There are many level-headed brothers and sisters here, but the toxic atmosphere here chases people away.

Maybe we need to develop a new platform and insha Allah attract level-headed brothers and sisters from other platforms. A place where people can have fruitful discussions, even heated debates, but in a civilised manner.

What that brother, incognito, said was absolutely true: there are many productive Somalis, particularly sisters, who would rather join ajnabi forums and contribute there instead of posting on somali forums due to all the negativity. That's a sad state of affairs.

How can you blame them?

Here in Canada, a lot of young Somali guys are either in the prison system/gangs or just don't have their life together. Add that to the fact that there seems to be more Somali women than men here and you will end up having a lot of women that marry out. Of course they shouldn't marry bums or former felons that claim to be reverts, but hey it could be worse. At least they aren't sleeping around with whomever and having children out of wedlock. Plus I see a lot of men that marry out as well so it's not just women.

The only thing I would add is some of the Somali girls who marry out need to stop shaming Somalis. Some of them act as if they've finally settled score with Somali men. They start bashing Somali men online, accusing them whole sorts of things. If they are true to their faith, they wouldn't have stated what they did online. I hope they keep their mouth shut. If they don't, hopefully, other Somali Muslim sisters will challenge them.

100% agree , if you really follow and apply the deen to your life than this whole thing is not an issue and making it an issue is haram in itself. As long as the marriage is halal and valid in the eyes of Allah, who cares what race/culture they are, as long as they are good people? But yea I agree that women that marry out need to stop acting like they've got a one up. While there are problems in the Somali community not all the men are bad.
