Somalidu are strange people they are aware of their father but they don’t think A guy who lived 632 after hydra does not know his father?
The haplogroup E3b1 with the rare DYS19-11 allele is only found amongst Somalis in large numbers.

There are barely any Iraqis with the DYS19-11 allele (if they exist at all)

Through Maakhiri oral history, Isxaaq was a Dir who barred a daughter. Which then had sons, the Arab myth only arised through the domination of Arab Maakhiris in the North.

Other "Daroods" know very little of the Isxaaq and this confederacey who no different than their D&M counter parts are made up of several groups (Oromos, Dirs, others).

what exactly do the result do? im Somali i dont give shit if it thousands of years ago my ancestor was Arab, Bantu or Hindi, im 100% sure of my lineage. it is relative to a Talxe in Jubba and a Rer Hassan in South East Ethiopia. this coherence in lineage of people whos never seen each other is enough proof. also verbal history reinforces the authenticity of my lineage.
but im interested in this test, what info does it give you ?

im pure Darood up to 6 generations and in the 7th i get several Hawiyo thrown in :|

If you take a test for Habr Awal and Isaaq, will I have to take one for Garxajis as well? Apparently ina baxar thinks Garxajis isn't Isaaq  .

Anyway qabiil is useless in the modern age and I hope somalis evolve and get rid of it. If they can get rid of that and qat, they might just end up ruling the world  .

in layman's terms:

Your male abtiris up to Nabi Adam
Your female abtiris up to Hawa (if you opt for the mtDNA test as well)

Most native Africans only have the following haplogroups A, B, E3a and E3b (A/B = Pygmee/Khoisan, E3a = Bantu, E3b = North East African)

Whilst all other people outside Africa have the following:

For example, here is a research done on 63 males from Socotra.

As you can see J* seems to be the most typical there, which is a rather unique marker. Thus via such methods you can find out about origins of markers.

Dawwa,

Why'd u order both tests, though? Thought ur folks fell within the same "umbrella" group. Are there any discrepancies reported in regards to this testing?

Because it is interesting, that's why. Maternal side of the family is of equivalent importance. :) There are tons of Y+MT-DNA researches done by scientists to record the results of many native groups all over the world, you can look them up in academic databases.

E splits up in E3a (Bantu) and E3b (Horner), which is just as old (or even older) as all the other Eurasian haplogroups. Scientists must have ran out of letters to classify them

Technically, Somalis are closer to Middle Easterners than to Bantus:
