DahmerÂ….I would like to make a couple of points regarding your essay to Gamadiid. One being that contrary to your claims, the USC did not target daroodÂ….my own uncle was targeted and killed (he was not darood)Â….and my other uncle was also targeted Alxamdullilah he survived. They both were ministers in the former regime and that is why they were targeted. The USCÂ’s main objective was not to target any specific clan-- they targeted anyone that was associated with the former regime. They were just one opposition group allied with all the other groups with the same aim. I would suggest you stop making false statements. Secondly, there is no point in making it sound like darood were the victimsÂ….all Somalis were victims.

Cawar Â…Â…what is your point? DidnÂ’t I say they targeted anyone associated with the former regime including my own uncles? How is targeting the former regime targeting a specific clan?

Xplosive, all I was saying is that it was not the “main objective” of the USC to target darood….because at first they went after the regime not any specific clan. The darood later sided with the regime and were later targeted. Obviously there were deep animosities between the majerteen and some elements of the USC who took revenge….and it didn’t stop there…that was just the start of the clan wars which in all honestly was the work of moroyaan not an organised group.

Cawar

I donÂ’t know about all of them but some of them were abroad and as soon as the war broke out people fled and hid. I swear my uncle was being hunted and we were tipped off that they were looking for him and we had to move again and went to baadiyo. My other uncle didnÂ’t have that luck and was shot with a bullet to the head in his own houseÂ….

Most people knew what was going to happen and some had already left including some of the men you listed there. All IÂ’m saying is, the USC targeted the regime and was working in conjunction with the other groups. The thing turned into a clan war when the darood switched sides and started to fight for the regime. After that it was a clan war, followed by clan another clan war and another and another and another etc.

Diini, what does it have to do with Ceydiid? Ceydiid was the leader of the USC. Before that he was the ambassador to India I think. He was imprisoned by the former dictator and then was practically under house arrest before being shipped off to India. The USC targeted the regime not any clan until the switch which Ceydiid saw as a betrayal.

Jeffrey,

Yes, the USC mooryaan targeted Daarood, just like Daarood government troops targeted Hawiye. But the initial purpose of the USC was not to slaugher Daarood as you too would agree.

Cawar,

The USC mooryaan did target many government officials who were not daarood including Mogadishu's police commisioner who was Arab-Somali and had to flee on a boat to Kenya when the USC was coming for him.

Laughing @"Long Live Cabdulahi Yusuf...who labeled the plain field."

If you mean leveled the playing field, then you are quite mistaken as he is probably the biggest back-stabber when it comes to fighting for "daaroodnimo." He was a frequent visitor to Mogadishu during Caydiid's Salbalaar government... Laughing Laughing

"I donÂ’t know about all of them "

Well If you dont know ask us ...we know ever detail from both sides...just dont tell lies.

MM

I dont care about the initial, the intermediate or the last phase...all I know is and from the earliest days..if you were Hawiye you were safe no matter what your crimes were...and if you were not wether Daarood(mainly), Arab, Habar Kuuleey...you were a target..

They Killed Abyan for God's sake..

Any yes you got my point about Abdulahi.. Laughing
