also people are returning and seeking refuge in the capital, this proves they have faith in TFG http://af.reuters.com/article/topNews/i ... 3120110809

MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Thousands of Somali refugees, fleeing famine and years of violence, streamed into Mogadishu on Monday searching for food after Islamist rebels withdrew from the capital.
The al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab insurgents began pulling their fighters out of Mogadishu over the weekend, raising hopes that humanitarian groups would be able to step up aid deliveries after years of blockages by the militant group.
Locals told Reuters long lines of refugees were now heading to the battle-scarred city to escape the region's worst drought in decades, and existing supplies were already running low.
The United Nations says about 3.6 million people are at risk of starvation in Somalia and about 12 million people across the Horn of Africa region, including in Ethiopia and Kenya.
"Now thousands ... are on the way from Bakool and Bay (regions) to Mogadishu," Sherif Isak, 58, a refugee in Badbaado camp on the outskirts of the capital, told Reuters.
"I cannot say it will rain but I am sure life will improve if al Shabaab melts away. More agencies will come and people will get food and jobs," he said.
Al Shabaab withdrew four years into their battle to overthrow Somalia's Western-backed government, an insurgency that has driven the chaotic country deeper into anarchy.
Somalia has been without an effective central government since the fall of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre 20 years ago, and peace is a distinct prospect.

Its reasonable for you to be afraid of the majority as a minority.whitehartlane wrote:Asalamu calaykum
Topics/subjects particularly like this one can be very educational and very forward thinking, however there are some who just join the debate without having the intention of contributing any form of positive input whatsoever. Its a shame really...
in regard of this topic. People need to differentiate between Mogadishu and the somali capital city
Mogadishu.
Many have already spoken my feelings about Mogadishu and her status as the capital and i have to say that i have to agree with those who said that xamar is a hawiye city. And that darod and Isaaq have not really any claim and have to accept that fact. Isaaq and harti are accepting this, it seems that one particular sub clan has other ambitions.
Somalia capital city
To be very sincere I believe that status is the highest rank any somali qabiil can get in terms of lasting rank. Unlike the presidential seat or any other seat, the capital status is a longterm commitment and will not be benifited by an individual or small number of people but by an entire city and the surrounding sub sub clans of that city. While those people have advantages above others, they have to understand that the capital city is not and I'll REPEAT it's not a clan city. I believe hawiye have been given that honour once before and they, YES THEY, have not behaved very honoured to be frank.
Mogadishu was once a city for all Somalis whether from djibouti, jigjiga or gariisa. Hawiye took that status away by force and destroyed her beauty and innocence and today it will be liberated by all somalis. And inshaallah it will be liberated and once it security returns that city should be left alone for this people.
As a harti man I don't want the capital status for a city in mudug nugaal sool sanaag or Bari. Because I don't want to share
Those place with the entire world and I am also confident that my people can and will build those cities without serious governmental hand.
I propose hargeysa kismaayo baydhabo or a brand new city. In another words u can't have the capital recognition and not share it.
Please forgive me if I have offended you, for that was not my intention

You have no choice in choosing just like in the same way that isaacs have no choice. Somalia is a sovereign nation whereby its break-up into Somaliland and Puntland will never be tolerated.
As the majority we have the burden in making the decision making, looking after all Somalis collectively.
My advice would be not to fight it but enjoy it OTHERWISE there could be serious problems for you people

delsusional walahi,
they cannot miss another opportunity to trip themselves.

YOU THINK HAWIYE CAN REBUILD XAMAR?
EVEN IF XAMAR IS PEACEFUL FOR 10 YEARS, IT'LL STILL LOOK THE WAY IT WAS WHEN AL-SHABAB LEFT.

Their silence and strange look has a strong curse and it often hits, lets just pray that this time around it fails.
They are just waiting for us to trip, what a spoke

No sir, for now you would not be going anywhere. Because as a sovereign nation it is our responsibility to govern you PEOPLE. If you have a problem with that than please contact the UN and see if they disagreegurey25 wrote:it is very easy to understand..

See thats where you go wrong the Somaliland leadership decided more than 3 decades ago that Somaliland will never be ruled by others any one who trespass our territory will get a bullet through his head.NO UN or any other organization can stop Somaliland quest for Statehood. We do not wait for orders From UN chiefs, our orders come from The presidential palace in Hargeisa. Your Somalia is not a sovereign Nation if Bahuku and his boys pull out things will turn ugly what happened to Faarmaajo he was ousted by one order from Kampala there is Sovereignty in Somalia So galia never make the mistake your former leaders did.

An Issaq friend of mine was worried about the collapse of Al Shabab in Xamar because he wondered what would happen to all those Issaq Shabab and if they would return home.
SOmaliland and Puntland are in for some interesting times ahead.

Trans-clan[1]
29% Digil and Mirifle( mainly Rahanweyn[2] )
22% Darod (mainly Ogaden and Marehan ) [2]
17% Hawiye( mainly Duduble and Murursade )[2]
12% Isaaq( mainly from Moktar Ali Zubeyr "Godane"'s subclan)[2]
13% Foreign Mujahideen[2]
7% Minority Clans[2]
There are more Foreign Alshabaab troops than that there are Isaaqs.
Abdi you should worry more about the duduble adeerka alshabaab.
