I had a feeling Fringe was going to be the next X Files, but turned-out to be a complete disaster. I still have some episodes from last season on my DVR, can't be bothered to delete it either, total waste of DVR space and I noticed the same pattern with most of these network shows. Its like someone has sucked the creativity out of the writers, you can tell they no longer have an ounce of talent anymore, just keep pushing the same shit down our throats again & again. Then there was 'V' that had my attention for like the first 2 episodes, Flash-forward, etc. PBS's 'Masterpiece classics' at least manage to stay true to their genre.

ABC wants to schedule it as a big Sunday event so they can make millions off of advertising, which is exactly what they're doing, charging around 900 grand for a 30 second commercial. You can't make a gigantic event like that on a Tuesday.
Trust me, studio executives don't get all "meta" and say to themselves "Oh boy this day is one of the numbers! Obviously we gotta schedule it then!" It's more like "Hey we can make more money on this day!"

Advo...doubt it..Lost is not what it was the first couple of seasons..The ratings are significantly down..The only time networks can charge that much is during award show & big sporting events...

They usually showcase a bunch of English/international movies that vary in content. Sometimes they do a couple of series that are from the late 1800s or early 20th century.

Mostly dramas.

Who's your cable company?

Yh, they'd Dickens' Bleak house a while back. Its just a mini-series of Charles Dickens book he wrote in the 19th century. They say it was Dickens' best novel to date. Don't know if you're in to the whole Victorian English dramas, but this one was very interesting and had a bunch of people & plots. Mostly revolved around the judiciary system in England, corruption, political greed, etc.

I'm with comcast too, used to be with Dish network for like 6 years before that. With Dish network & Direct TV, they offer more public service stations, alternative channels like LinkTV that are very progressive and international oriented. They would have movies from Nigeria, Korea, Egypt, etc every once in a while. More bang for your money. That's why I asked, 'cause I was going to suggest watching LinkTV.

The outages were annoying, but they got much better afterwards with some upgrades they made and shit. Dish network had an Arabic package and I found it very useful during Ramadan. That was my only reason for signing up with them. Didn't get the triple play bundle like they do with comcast. Its pretty much just TV. But their customer service was much better, comcast usually hires blacks for reasons unknown to me. Rude and their techs suck too. Dude who did my set-up had to come back on 3 different occassions to finish the installation.

Still at Mpls?

I actually felt jealous whenever I visited my friend's house because of the international packages but I love having consistent and uninterrupted programming. I mean, even today they have satelitte issues..Comcast charges about $12 for one Arabic or Indian channel. Not much of a package..

Nah, St. Paul. I only come to downtown mpls for fun & freaks! :D

I watched Fringe for a couple of episode and gave up quickly. The old man in the show started off as a complete loon only to metamorphose into a perfectly sane person, and this in a single episode, how realistic is that? Besides, I can't stand that Joshua Jackson kid, I once sat through "One week" (through no fault of mine) and the man has to be the worst actor in history  As for V , I can't get over the equine jaws of the V lady and the red eyes of Morris Chestnut. I hear that there's some sort of hybrid V/human savior plot line in the works

Skippa....I have tremendous respect for you...As much respect as you can have for an invisible person....but if u say one more negative thing about Joshua Jackson, it's war!
