http://www.jimas.org/hearhear.htm --MashaAllah.. Great organisation
hey lil cutie, is this the organisation that has the annual conference in university of leciseter? I heard the conference is excellent and muslims from all over the UK attend. I was thinking about going this year, have you ever been? and do you think it is good
Yes it is! The one that happens once a year usually around the same time-August Bank Holiday Weekend! ..
It's a really nice event to increase your Iman and seek out the right knowledge, brothers and sisters are properly segrageted which is soo brilliant to see, it has a nice family feel to it aswell and the speakers are well known. MashaAllah..
I heard that the events aren't as they used to be, nowadays they have 'people' watching them after the terror attacks, but before it used to be more of a big fuss and now it isnt so much!

Re: In Your Grave
This is how the Prophet (saw) described that horrifying event:
"When an infidel (or, in some narrations, an evildoer) is about to leave the world and proceed to the next, angels with black (and harsh) faces will come down to him from heaven with a hair-cloth (of fire) and will sit away from him as far as the eye can see. Then the angel of death comes and sits at his head and says, "Wicked soul, come out to the displeasure of Allaah". Then it becomes dissipated in the body, and he draws it out as spit is drawn from moistened wool. He then seizes it, and when he does so they do not leave it in his hand for an instant, but put it in that hair-cloth (of fire) and from it there comes forth a stench like the most offensive stench of a corpse found of the face of the earth." (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Khuzaima, al-Hakim and others. According to al-Albaani, it is sahih. See Sahih al-Jami' as-Sagheer, vol.1, p.436, hadith no. 1676)
In the Qur'aan, Allaah has also described the taking of the souls of the disbelievers in the following passage:
"And if you could see when the angels take away the souls of
those who disbelieve (at death), they smite their faces and their backs, (saying):
"Taste the punishment of the blazing fire.
This is because of that which your hands had forwarded.
And verily, Allaah is not unjust to His slave"". (al-Anfal, 50-51)

Re: In Your Grave
On that day every person will be in a state of terror, except those who used to fear this day in this life.
It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about,
And the mountains will be like carded wool.
Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy,
Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.
But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,-
Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit.
And what will explain to thee what this is?
(It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!
[Qur'an Surah Al Qaar'ia 101]
That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,
And from his mother and his father,
And from his wife and his children.
Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.
Some faces that Day will be beaming,
Laughing, rejoicing.
And other faces that Day will be dust-stained,
Blackness will cover them:
Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.
[Qur'an Abasa 80: 34-42]
The people of paradise however will unite with their families, those who joined them in faith.
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.
And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.
[Qur'an Tur 52: 20-1]
