I would say, yes perhaps so.

Why would you want to watch something which our deen is against? Like someone commiting adultery, Zina, voilence, drugs etc?.. This leaves your heart black, to much of it may lead you away from Allah and closer the shaydaan and his whispers, to a fantasy world. These are the things which poison you, first by the eyes and eventually spread. because once the eyes get used to it, then your actions will follow.

Let me ask you all, how many times have you sat there watching TV (something like MTV) and a half naked women appears, even for a flash, and you don't see the problem?What are your thoughts/actions?Do you blink, do you look away/change, continue like whatever?
..That is because your eyes are SOO used to seeing this that it has become Normal. It isn't a problem, when Subxnallah IT IS a problem, major.
When a young child sees that, often they are shocked or will giggle, become confused. Because in this society we are exposed to it, wereby live by it.. Acudbillah!! So YES lower your gaze, even on TV.

To increase your Iman only associate yourself with things that remind you of Allah and his beauty.

Hollywood is in the business of making stuff people will pay to watch. If enough folks like Arabman got together and approached Hollywood, i wil bet they could have something quite Halaal. Whether they would then be able to make further films with profits from the proceeds is another question.

hollywood = promotion of western debauchery and not even those in the most remote villages in third world countries are no longer safe from it.

What most of you fail to realise is that there's something called a movie industry in America. Its run like a business. Its there to stimulate profits not to raise you or your kids. That's your job as a parent.

If you have an axe to grind with them, then surely you should have an axe to grind with tha gaming industry, music industry, advertising agencies and others.

Yeah a good number of actors /directors/producers are jewish , so what?
They , in my opinion make a special effort to promote whenver they can their culture specifically because they know they are hated.
There's some anti-semitism in a lot of people including me , I just try to rationalize and control mine .

Subxanallah brother you are no better then the brother that you are being vile to. Only Allah can judge people that is a grave sin to tell a muslim to denounce their religion. May Allah forgive you brother amiin.

Says the shiekh. I wouldn't say things are Haram unless a person is 100% sure. Maybe sins, but not everything is HARAM. Next thing you know, these self proclaimed shiekhs will make you start believing that breathing air is Haram. Si qalad baa haram ka fahamten.

I would say if you are concerned about Hollywood movies being haram, don't watch them.
