Xoog badaana ninku, war so what if they want to keep this exclusively a Ogadeen struggle. We dont see anyone else helping them for the past 18 years or so. I agree, that are many somalis who lost lives for this cause, but dear that was back in the day, and it will be reserved in history. The reality today is different here, like in many other situations in Somalia sadly.

ONLF is smart to first start with Ogaden clan. These days Somalis are not capable of fighting for a concept called Somalinimo, cuz there are certain clans which will put their selfish clan interest before that of the common interest (Somalinimo)

Ogaden people are doing great job by first organising the resistance movement from their own ranks, then when they start to see real results broaden it to Somali movement.

Change always starts from within.

I think I mentioned this over thousand times but I am going to repeat it; Ogadenia is the name of the land. In the ranks of ONLF, there are top officials from Somali clans other than Ogaden or Absame in that matter. The struggle is simple; the world knows us as Ogadenia and for now we play their card and seek our freedom through that. There is no doubt that this is a Somali territory and land, but when the European colonies gave Ogadenia to Ethiopia, there was no Somali republic or nation. That is the fact. We lost the cause of 1977 because Somali leaders at the time made major mistake by declaring war on Ethiopia.

The people of Ogedenia have been fighting the black colony of Africa for centuries and even if takes another century, the people would keep the struggle to attain their freedom.

Someone said that Ogedenia belongs to Ethiopia; well the Ogadenia natives are doing their part in freeing their landbut as a Somali, what are you doing because for the Tigrean from Maqale, Somali is Somali whether he is from Ogadenia or Muqdisho.
