Is Al-Qaeda Behind 9-11?

[I have never heard or seen Osama admit that he was behind 9/11. Not once. The closest he ever came to admiting it was when he said was that it was about time to hit back at America for all of their injustices in the Muslim world.]

There's the video of the fat impersonator of Sheikh Osama, which has been proven to be fake and embarrassed the Bush administration. That's the one Grant is referring to.

I know that infamous video, but it was proven to be a fake. Osama releases audio tapes which are played on Al-Jazeera frequently, he never admits to being responsible for 9/11. Why is the only piece of evidence whereby he admits to being behind 9/11 that of a poorly edited vidoetape?

As for the men that were supposedly responsible for 9/11. They were not religious men. Some of them had girlfriends, others frequented bars & even strip clubs in Florida. It is said that even Mohamed Atta was a drunkard. Why would such pseudo-Islamists or secular Muslims risk their posh and comfortable lives?

In Palestine where suicide bombing is frequent, the perpetrators are usually relatives of victims of Israeli hostilities who feel they must avenge their relatives.

None of the 9/11 perpetrators came from broken families or families that were under oppression or victims of U.S. injustices.

The video I saw was solid film, no editing. The Osama was the Osama I have seen in other footage, and Alzuwahiri and at least one well known sheik was also present.

There is separate footage of Atta, and I believe bin Al Shiib, in one of the Afghani training camps. Atta is described as a lieutenant.

I have heard the last few nights before the deed were spent in all sorts of vile activities. That part is strange.

You haven't answered my question: Why hasn't OBL admited anywhere else that he was behind 9/11 with the exception of the infamous video?

Why would a man who knows he will die spend his last days drinking and going to bars, when he knows the punishment for such sins is severe?

I haven't gotten to the second link yet, but the first only questions the timing of the interview and wether or not OBL knew he was being recorded.
The gist and conclusion of the article is that the video was produced as a sting by an operative of the Saudi govenment concealed among Al-Harbi's entourage. The validity of the confession or the identity of OBL is not in question.

He also would have discovered that the visiting sheikh had betrayed him, or operatives affiliated with the United States had infiltrated the sheikh’s entourage. In either case, the release of the tape would have most certainly caused bin Laden to change his movements, behaviors, and communications. Hardened by the revelation of his exposure and vulnerabilities, it is not unreasonable to speculate that the adjustments that would have been made by bin Laden could have resulted in unnecessary losses suffered by coalition forces.



As for sheikh Khaled al-Harbi – he surrendered to Saudi Arabian officials in July 2004 during the Saudi government’s one-month offer of leniency to terror suspects that surrendered to Saudi officials. The Saudi government told CNN that al-Harbi’s case is a “tricky situation” because he had not been charged with any of the attacks covered by the leniency offer. In response to his surrender, a U.S. intelligence officer described al-Harbi to CNN as “an extremist, yes, but an operational terrorist, no”, and “not particularly significant”.[9]

I was in the kind, at first sight, that it was an inside job by the USA. I was in the theory of the conspiration theory. But, with the day after day info, I was more and more doubtful...

All my doubts disappeared the day some Al Qaida branch in Morocco bursted the trains in Madrid, March, 11, 2004. Then, it was not doubt that ETA was not involved in the attacks. There was not doubt that Spanish Government was not involved in the attacks. There was not doubt that the only responsible of those attacks (200 killed, almost 2.000 wounded) was the (so called) Islamic fanatism. Not muslims. Not Islam. Just a bunch of fanatic terrorists. Let's call it "Al Qaeda" or "CIA Muslim Agents". Whatever. As Gurey pointed, it's so easy for Western Agencies to manipulate terrorist groups.

But the Spain case, with Bin Laden being happy of Madrid attacks and talking about Al-Andalus, showed the things as clear as water: There is an organization which is trying to recruite muslim people, unsatisfied young boys, in order to make them potential, suicidial soldiers. They use the anger of muslim boys in order to feed that kind of hate in their heart and minds that they're even ready to kill themselves in order to kill innocent people, workers, girls, other muslims going to work, inmigrant from Senegal, Sahara, Morocco, whatever...

If you think that Al Qaida it's ok, well. Being a muslim yourself, and an intellectual yourself, what's the meaning of "using" a suicide bomber in Iraq in order to blow a muslim Mosque because it's shiia or sunnia?

If you support Bin Laden, why this Holy War against other muslims? I could understand muslims against "christians"... But the fact, right now, is that the "so called" "real muslims" are killing other muslims.

Ultimately, you're not going to fight America or arm Muslim insurgents who are fighting American occupiers and colonizers. Right? Sure, you previously stated that 97% of Spaniards were against the Iraq invasion, and I asked you what good is 97%. Did 97% save a single Iraqi out of the 1 million or more Iraqis who lost their lives as a result of the invasion and colonization?

Yeah, you say you thought 9-11 was an inside job, but 3-11 changed your mind. So what? You're entitled to change your mind. Besides, you're not arming Muslim insurgents, and they aren't counting on your support. Spain is a Christian nation, and no matter what happens, it isn't going to support Muslim insurgents against Christian America.

Yeah, there's an organization that's recruiting young unsatisfied, unemployed and poor Muslims. There's more than enough money in the Muslim world, but it's in the hands of a few secular elites who govern it. You perfectly know what they do with the money they got; they go to Spain and spend millions of dollars in Spain's casinos, buy luxury castles and villas, drink Jack Daniel's, etc. Spain is more than happy with those easy profits it makes. Spain doesn't care about those young poor Muslims. On top of that, Spain protects those who bring the profits. So, who's to blame?

The Bush Administration says yes, citing a grainy, badly-edited videotape that surfaced in December, 2001. In that tape, a fat guy who vaguely resembles Bin Laden chortles about the success of the 9/11 attacks. (In earlier interviews, Bin Laden had denied responsibility for 9/11, once even deploring the loss of civilian life in the attacks and calling them un-Islamic.)

Is the famous “confession video” genuine? Despite Bush’s insistence that the tape is authentic, America’s top academic Bin Laden expert has finally gone on the record, joining numerous other experts. “It’s bogus,” says Professor Bruce Lawrence, head of Duke University’s Religious Studies program.

Lawrence, author of Messages to the World: The Statements of Osama Bin Laden, offered his historic debunking of the administration’s lie in an interview with Kevin Barrett (“Dynamic Duo,” gcnlive.com, 2/16/2007, first hour). The interview marked Lawrence’s first major public statement since he made headlines last year by suggesting that recent Osama tapes are hoaxes and that the real Osama Bin Laden may be dead.

Why has the Bush Administration been lying for more than five years by telling us that this preposterously bad hoax is a genuine “confession video”? Lawrence, citing informants in the US intelligence apparatus’s Bin Laden units, said they all know the tape is fake, adding that the hoax has been kept alive because it is politically useful to those who wish to deflect attention from “conspiracy theories” about 9/11.

If Professor Lawrence is right—and anyone with eyes can see that he is, simply by comparing the overweight impostor in the Fatty Bin Laden bogus confession video to other pictures of Osama Bin Laden—

the Bush Administration, by repeatedly citing the tape as authentic, is clearly guilty of obstruction of justice at best, high treason and conspiracy to mass murder at worst. Since the FBI now tells us that Osama Bin Laden is “not wanted for 9/11” because there is “no hard evidence” connecting him to the 9/11 attacks, and since US intelligence personnel all know the “confession tape” is a Bush Administration hoax, it should not be difficult to nail the perpetrators of this outrageous, stunningly sloppy cover-up of the crime of the century.

It is time for Congress or an appropriate judicial authority to mount an investigation of the Fatty Bin Laden bogus confession video. Where did this tape come from? Who was responsible for the administration’s claim that it is authentic, despite widespread knowledge in relevant intelligence agencies that it is bogus? If Bruce Lawrence is correct in asserting that US intelligence personnel know the tape is fake, we need to put them, along with Bush and Cheney, under oath and find out why our government has been lying so outrageously for more than five years in order to obstruct justice by shielding the real perpetrators of 9/11.
