Anyway back to the topic. Did you mention Maryland?

Prince George county is also one of the wealthy places for blacks. Even more so that Lithonia.

For the record I would really like it if some of the more mature Somali/blacks on this forum would join in.

Very true. One of my brothers live in Maryland. My parents live in DC and PG county is really nice.

Don't hold ur breath on that one. With the exception of a few posters, most here have emphatically confirmed they have no educational content since coming to our nation as refugees.

And Reena is a non-somali poster of Nordic?Scandinavian descent who encountered the same problem you've had with these muthafockers. They claim Somalis are superior to Blacks, Latinos, Asians and Whites. Make of that what u will.

fah,

Are they creating new housing subdivisions in that area? And PG County has existed as long as i can remember. I remember when my brother bought his first home there in the mid 90's. It was dirt cheap but real estate in that area has skyrocketed over tha last 8 years. Maybe I'll leave Houston someday and return to DC/MD/VA area. but for now ima stay put.

How's tha I-95? Laughing have they extended any more lanes?

DC, VA has hella Ethiopians, Eritreans and no the African diaspora is not that huge here. The problem here is tha huge Asian communities and well ofcourse tha large influx of mejicanos. I think that has more to do with geography since Texas shares a border with Mexico.

Other than that. This state is has alot of potential. btw ...i'm half latino. up

I’m kind of iffy about Houston. I’ve been there a few times and it seems to exist between two extremes. Really nice and really….. well you get the picture. I think that whole “black hole” comparison is quite true.

As far as the Mexicans go. Either americans need to have more babies or just put up with them. I was cool with most of them in till may of 06

You stated that you are part latino. Do you consider yourself a Zambo?

That's a problem with most major cities in America. There's always good parts followed by bad ones. Houston ain't no different. You can elaborate on your experiences.

I know exactly what ur talkin' bout. Its those border issues. Mexicans are very arrogant in my opinion. I have had problems wit them too. They are unlike other latino peoples I'm friends with.

Razz,

No i'm not considered Zambo. I'm a lil diffrent from 'em. My mother is Jamaican east Indian not native Amerindian.

Garifunas was a term given to people in central america namely Guatemala and nicaragua i believe who were mixed black (caribbean descent St Vincent to be exact) and Hispanic.

Costa Rica has quite a huge population of people with jamaican descent who live on the Caribbean coast of that nation. the jamaicans live inthe province of Limon. They speak jamaican patois and espanol. and were given a similar name which doesn't come to mind right now. I'll let u know some other time.
