In a beautiful tradition the Prophet (peace be upon him) has given the most important point that should weigh with every Muslim in selecting his bride:


"Whoever marries a woman solely for her power and position, Allah will only increase him in humiliation. Whoever marries a woman solely for her wealth, Allah will only increase him in poverty. Whoever marries a woman because of her beauty, Allah will only increase him in ugliness. But whoever marries a woman in order that he may restrain his eyes, observe cautiousness, and treat his relations kindly, Allah puts a blessing in her for him and in him for her."

I have no problem with a woman making more money. Its her life and her living she is earning herself. More power to her.

It is not the more money that intimidating, it is the attitude!.

However, as a man who earns less than his wife/girl friend, you should give up some of your ego because your wife/girl frind will wear the pants of the family!.

There are trade offs. For instance, imagine you want to shopping and all salesmen are talking to man when in fact, the woman is the boss!. Ain't fun at all!.

lets face it....men will always be intimidated by a woman with cash, class, or confidence...basically a woman whose doing her thang. men think, she's not so easily obtained(so they think ) and because of this they assume they gotta buffer up their game. this is why most successful women find it hard to find a good man, coz half the time the men who approach them are not being themselves, they're trying too hard... i know this first hand.

this is why i like faraxs who make more dough than me( and they are too few and far in between )
