Muzika,
Provided that Sheik Sharif could unite more somalis and is loved by many..I dont think he can last a month as a leaderin this lamagodley jungle..
Whereas Hiiraale(I am nota supporter..but have no reason to oppsoe him either) could last longer and is def. a stronger leader 10 times than the sheikh..wether he is a good one or a bad one is a different story.
But who ever comes and no matter what anyone says Somalia has yet to see another Macallinka Kacaanka oo kale...period..may he rest in peace.

Sir Lug,
It depends on what you mean by warlord.....one could argue in post-91 era there is no such thing BUT a warlord. In that case, yes Hiiraale is a warlord.
However, if by warlord you mean someone who extorts local population and is opposed to peace, governance, or national reconciliation then he cannot be classified as a warlord.
However, it's not the post-ICU stance that caused you to have a dislike for Hiiraale......now you mention this whole Addis Ababa as if it was something that would sway your opinion.
If your opinion of Hiiraale could be changed, then there were many chances for that, but perhaps it's got something to do w/ Kismayo and "IlkoYar" presence there.
that is another topic we can discuss openly.
You should note that I did give Sh. Shariif the benefit of the doubt there as well.
So if Hiiraale going to Addis is so devastating even though it's not clear why/what happened, he is "dealing w/ the enemy" and therefore doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
So what of Sh. Shariif at the US Embassy in Kenya? I suppose the benefit of the doubt is warranted there, right?

Musica, Xamar is chaotic but shangaani and Hamar weyne are OK...except that they are full of ilmo mukulaal madoowyaal
As to the topic..you of all ppl shouold know that everything is not and cannot be just black or white esp. in somalia..so refer back to what I said..its not about who is better it more about who can lead at this point in the game..
And besides last I remember we do have elected/chosen leader(s) in Somalia..and the head is called A. Yusuf..so all your talk is hypothetical to say the least...

Both are warlords so they are NOT suitable to be somali leader ...

I voted for Sh.Sharif. After Sh.Sharif Sh.Axmed the leadership will be giving to sh. Daahir Aweys.

I think the Sharif Ahmed would be an excellent selection, b/c he puts nationalism before tribalism. But I highly believe he would accept such a position until the ET's leave. He seems more of a principle person than that.
