Growing up i never hanged around people from my tribe and my family never taught me either..
Most of my friends were majeerteen and i felt sorry for them everytime they told me strories of the war and what some tribes did to them..I even had this image of Hawiye people as evil, then i found out that i was hawiye.. As i get older i started to learn of my Hawiye roots

first out of self defense.. Than after questioning some few family relatives i found out that we Hawiye also had our stories and calcaal too..
I believe most youths who grow up in the west learn qabil by means of self defense at first..
I think we grew up in the same area

.....yeah this reminds me of when Caydiid RIP died..Everyone in my neighborhood were celebrating..except for my family...I asked my mom why is everyone happy...but she just looked at me sadly and told me not to worry about it
In numerous times i have been in a room with a group of people who claimed how Hawiye;s are dark people, the funny thing is im always the lightest person in the room..
I love the look on their face when they find out
some of these kids believe everything their told..
haha that happened to me a just about a year ago...I was sitting with a few isaaq girls...they asked me my tribe I said I was HG...they had know idea that we're Hawiye...anyways they started chattin about how Hawiyes are the darkest people alive

...Then I interrupt them and told them I'm Hawiye...wallahi you should've seen the look on their faces...PRICELESS
