zulaika,

Keep on rocking 'em xalaal fashions

The Holy Prophet [s] said: "Verily your best woman is she who is fertile, affectionate,
keeps secrets, and is pious. She obeys her husband and is honourably dear among her kinsmen.
When she is with her husband, she reveals her ornaments but conceals it from anyone other
than him. She hearkens to his speech and obeys his commands. When she is in private, she
dresses herself beautifully and is eager to offer him generously whatever he wants from her.
She is usually ornamented (for him) and is not plain as men are."

Nothing wrong with fashion, once Aisha (ra) lost her earrings and the Prophet (saw) made the whole army stop to search for them.

- SHE IS USUALLY ORNAMENTED (FOR HIM) AND IS NOT PLAIN AS MEN ARE.
- WHEN SHE IS IN PRIVATE, SHE DRESSES HERSELF BEAUTIFULLY...

- O Children of Adam! Wear your beautiful apparel (zeenah) at every time and place of prayer...(7:31)

The Prophet said: No one will enter Paradise who has an atom's weight of pride in his heart. A man said: "what if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to lood good?" The Prophet said: "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.

zulaika,

I'm not disagreeing with you....I'm supporting your case :-)

Thank God for the private catwalk....for every xaraam thing there's a xalaal counterpart.
Earning ajar for it too :-)
