I never said my qabiil was innocent. I blamed the Somali people for not calling for a stop if u guys remember. We are all responsible.

Mirifle (Rahanweyn as u guys know them) clans did fight, I'm not denying that, the only thing I was asking was would u give them the same amount of responsibility as Xawadle, Murunsade, Gaaljecel etc. who were fully in the fight.

D&M didn't even get there own militia till the RRA before that it was a few who were following Aideed, they weren't like Xawadle and them who were leading the war with USC. They were few and far.

^We know Hawadle and Murursade had the lions share in the USC, but they were just followers just like the D&M. I already said that you guys took part in bringing Habasha to Somalia. You see if Majeerteen didn't participate in the Ethiopian conspiracy, I'd have given them 5% just like Isaaq.

Well to be honest its multi-factorial...but for the major factor ??? Lets see.... :

As much as I am sorry to admit it..it was all about MSB's failure not to karbash the hawiye as much(I emphasize the word as much) as he did karbash all the other major clans..maybe because he under-estimated them or whatever..but thats a fact..he was lean on them(the hawiye) as much as he was on the minorities..like tha reer xamars or jareers.

Now I also like to state that I didnt and still dont hold any particular grudge(s) against Hawiye..but they got a free ride undr MSB(AUN)..and they took a full advantage of that(And why not?)..only if their elders(those who held the power) had also the wisdom To unite the country..we wouldnt be in this mess.
You couple the above mentioned reasons with Darods over confidence and their belittling of the hawiye masses(over the yrs..accumulated and transalted into cuqdad)...then you will have a recipe for disaster.

And thats just my 3 cents. lol

''The general did decide to give up and let the rebels form a government but the problem was none of them had any plans other than to overthrow the kacaan.''

How delusional. ''Kacaan'' was over in 1978, after that period it was nepotism, clannism, corruption, mismanagment of the economy/military/society etc.

The nerv of Siad Barre to try to come back to Mogadishu twice still surprises me. And the nerv of his remnants to spread fairytales more then 10 years since he died in a foreign country still baffles me.

The factors and actors leading to the Somali demise are varied, but Siad Barre's autocratic rule and greed for power is central.

The former regime was the root of the problem, everything after that has risen from the root.

Xoogsade.....ofcourse people remember his last actions more than his earlier good actions and accomplishments.

If there's a good game of football, basketball or whatever else popular sport there is out there......and throughout the whole duration of the game there has been good play and during the last 5 minutes a riot breaks out.....all that the people are going to remember from that game is the last 5 minutes.

I've stated this before.....Spider-man's deceased uncle Ben told him once "With great powers come great responsibilities"

You need to go back to cartoons and get educated.

too many people here talk about what happened and/or who is to blame for what happened instead of accepting it as it is and moving on. at this rate Somalia and everything associated with it will be extinct faster than sulu bleeding hearts!

So you're saying that what ever happened in the past is irrelevant now and should not be a issue to any of us anymore thus lets move on?

If nobody accepts to find a common ground as to what went wrong in the passed the chances of moving on is quite slim.
If people want to move on, coming to a general agreement as to what went wrong in the passed is one of the many important factors.
Knowing what went wrong is what will avoid future issues.

i'm saying learn from the past and move on, this whole issue of who did what and when is annoying me almost as much as blacks who continuously blame the white man for what happened 400 focking years ago. who the fock cares, if you want to see a better Somalia shut the fock up and do something about it.

Forget the past, lets think about our future folks. This hatred can and will not benefit us in anything except destruction.
While the world is moving and building bigger buildings, you guys are fighting and living poverty.

With hatred i meant those who support tfg and tfg itself, they hate UIC and lable it as hawiye terrorism. This hatred have to stop. If puntland and most of abgaal do not stop this hatred, then somalia_lovers(nationalists)must take action against them. They are a danger for somalia.
Abdullahi yusuf came to xamar because of hatred,he wanted to take revenge. He could not forget the past.Abgaal are still hatefull towards HG.
I was talking about that such hatred.

you still don't get it do you? the irony here is that you preach unity and somalinimo but you waste your time and energy engaging in clan topics daily, you are exhibit A in my comment earlier that Fah quoted me. practive what you preach.
