You thought he was perfect because u are sufi.PINK_BUNNY wrote:So he wasn't perfect?? Then why was his heart cleaned by angels when he was young? There's a story bout that......
The Prophet said, "Many men reached perfection but none among the women reached perfection except Mary, the daughter of ' Imran, and Asia, Pharoah's wife. And the superiority of 'Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid to other kinds of food."
So if men reached perfection shouldn't the prophet too? I always thought he was perfect.
Was Prophet Muhammad SAW Perfect?

Re: Was Prophet Muhammad SAW Perfect?
Assalamu Alaikum..
Ahhh i guess were moving onto the Seerah of the Prophet (saw)
.. Nice Question PINKY!
The first time the Prophet Muhammad (saw) got his heart cleansed by Jabril was when he was with his grandfather who upon seeing this later thought Muhammad had been murdered. Jabril came to him upon his revelation, he opened up his chest, took his heart out and moved a black-like clot, washed it with ZamZam water and took the blackness out, put the heart back into his chest. SubhanAllah, he was just a child. This apparently (correctly me if I am wrong, has so much to it, it is said by Jabril that this was the shaydaan in him. It was to purify and prepare him for the biggest challenge to face him and carry the revelation like no other.)
The second time was one year before Hijrah, occuring shortly after 'the year of sorrow' (Year of Sorrow, refering to the two dramatic Deaths of the two beloved people to the Rusullah saw ; Khadija-his beloved wife and the one who helped him when he got cleaned and recieved his revolation and all the signs, and Abu Talib-his dear uncle who cared for him after the death of his parents and grandfather).
Basically this was the 'Miraj' - where he was in jeurisalm/mekka and 'Isra' took place; The Night Journey to the Heavens. The prophet (saw) was in the Ka'bah lying down when Jibril came and woke him up to cleanse his heart like done before but this time it was to for Strength! SubhanAllah ..after all the sorrow that had happened to him, after Ta'if(most distressing time for him pbuh), and just before another big journey; for Hijrah!!! ..but this time there was NO black clot! and it was washed with ZamZam in a golden basin!
SubhanAllah.. I could go on theres so much to say About the Year-Of-Sorrow, about Ta'if itself!! And ofcourse about his journey to the seven heavens and what happened!! .. Allahu Akbour then the Hijrah!!!!
Everybody should read the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw)!!!!!!
