im trying to see the point of naming one region Somaliland and your bring clan into the topic
i care less about hawiye, darood, jareer, oromo, dir, isaq or any other tribe or clan in Somalia.

its only you that has a clan problem saxib but if you must know what i am you can just ask me

Somaliland is the land of Somalis, there are 5 regions that makes us Greater Somalia, so why should one region be called Somaliland???? thats what i want to know and not about you clan.

British Protectorate of Somalliand has united with Italian Somaliand. Todays Somaliland is not British Somaliland so as a Hawiye, Jareer or Oromo I understand your confusion. Somaliland is a Isaaq enclave in North Western Somalia and the former British Protectorate controled by Sultan Mohamoud Ali Shire (my clan) shouldnt be confused with the seccessionist enclave today. Nor was Isaaqland (Berbera - Saylac) recognized as a soverign country under the British Treaty.

Cushite kid you make no sense.

Yes you are a Jareer

Heres a lesson, since you started this topic. The name chosen by Isaaqs in North Western Somalia, Somaliland, derives from British Somaliland hence todays Somaliland (not mentioning the land of Somalis mumbo jumbo your rambling about). Since Isaaqs claim the former protectorate as their blueprint for statehood it is rendered void by default since the Protectorate invloved clan treaties and the only independent clan that has valid and sound reason to secede and or use the former protectorate to gain soverignty is Warsangeli Country (read the treaty). Somaliland as a independent entity vying for soverignty using the Protectorate isnt possible.

Isaaqland (Berbera-Saylac) is a joke and cushite kid refering to their jokeland to British Somaliland which was under my control is an insult. Isaaqland will never gain independence. Stick to Beesha Jareer Politics :|

i already know that the Brits ruled northern Somalia(British Somali land) what i wanted to know is why would the reclaim a name that was reference to the people that inhabited that area. i mean there are many other areas that Somalis inhabit. south, west, ndf, and Djibouti all are somali lands.

Nah kid I rarely respond to midgaan clans but since you have little knowledge about Somali history I'd advise you to pick up a book and when you come across names you wont be confused.
