Asalamu alikum

I have been to other websites mainly to discuss about Islam, and I'm very much into politics. I don't have my own website, or facebook, and I used to have a myspace. I do have a blog, but it's currently empty.

Am I an activist?

I am an activist in the sense that I speak against injustice, would probably go rallies and demonstrations. But I'm not your 'truly' fledge activist sort.

P.S. I've been told that book is very, very good mashallah, and it's by a muslim egyptian female and what she went through in prison. A sister who recommended it to me and my friends briefly described it to us, subahnallah it was very powerfu. A lot of people in the west know her, may allah grant paradise (amiin).

Yes

I am :somalia: !! I might do my thesis on Somalia! Wouldn't that be splendid.

I go to BBC EVERYDAY or every other day, and read constantly about issues in Somalia, Middle-eastern countries, African countries. I follow the World news; everywhere. Currently there has been an earthquake in China (up to 15,000 dead)... I also always go to Hiiraan, and aljazeera when I remember.

Today I read that the Ethiopian troops gave out food in Mogadishu. I don't know what to think of that.

I have one problem I can't read somali that well...and I'm a fast reader so I get impatient when reading somali :| my allah increase my patience.

Jazakallah

At times I feel this palce is damaging my iman.

Sheikh Salem al-amry in one of his lectures said; Iman is like the Stockmarket it keeps going up and down...I understand this, and so I shouldn't be too suprised if my iman goes down (at times). But he also said be careful the Iman is delicate and one little scratch causes affects on your iman.

Sometimes the things I see here shock me! And when feel like laughing with person, but I know I shouldn't be; then I need to be worried. Because my heart is hardening.

So I will be patient and see if this is a good place to be.

I will try to read more somali inshallah, but I talk proper xamari/xayo (I don't know if this is the correct somali spelling) and the writing of somali is quite different.

Walikum salam

Hey Warsan ,

If you really dont want to be corrupted and you are serious abt it...leave this place right now.

otherwise I can assure you ...that somehow, someway..your eyes, ears or perhaps your heart will be subjected to such corruption.

Ask the Mujjarib..(i.e.the experienced) who is Moi.

PS. thats a brotherly advice IFF its true as to what your saying/claiming.

HA! I didn't see this...

I have never participated in somalinet, I knew this website. But never used to go on it, I was searching for something and the forums came up, and then I signed on it. I'm somewhat of a internet/social network sites addict.

How is he wining my heart and mind? This is not conspiracy

Were just a bunch of somalis talking about politics, islam, world issues etc. Believe that's normal

Muslimah,
Cawar aka Ileey is one of them rowdy guys who are always thinking of a scheme on the subject of women so if a guy reacts in rather gracious way to one of the female forumers he robotically thinks that guy is up to something. Wuxuu umaley every brotha inuu saqajaan yahe isaga camal.

Corrupted! what age are we living in? Every human is somehow contaminated, my problem is not corruption inshallah no one can corrupt me. I'm afraid that my iman and defenses going will go down because of this place.

I don't want disgusting language, disgraceful pictures, and distasteful behaviour to seem the NORM to me. I'm a muslim subanallah, your a muslim, be afraid of Allah. Do you think actions like that are okay? Good? Do you think because others don't see you, that Allah can't?

We can pretend to be someone else, but you can't with Allah. Every word I type is written by the angels. I'm sorry my days of lies, and pretentious actions are GONE. I fear Allah, and believe in the hereafter. I know my goal in life.

The only thing that shocks me is that you mention being experienced as if it's a good thing.
It's not brother...please take my advice and look beyond this world (think of the hereafter), before your days are over.

BTW I do not participate that much, and only do with certain topics, and at other times I probably kill the mood because I try to warn people. When I see that people don't like to talk about Allah and Islam I'll take
