934..why are you picking on me ? In the 'blameless' 'Islamic' country of Saudiarabia women are under house arrest because of culture disguised as 'authentic islam'..they explain away every oppressive law as strictures mandated by Islam
and now we are seeing all kind of social problems
how is what ive said in this thread..different to what Emperior said (also in this thread) or what gurey said ( also in this thread)
yet u choose to single me out..and you have called me the worst possible things ever..an athiest and a feminist in disguise..its okay i dont want an apology..can't help it if u think im that.

Actually, at my Uni we have plenty of kids who came from Sacudi who got scholarships and what not...I remember one day, after I prayed I saw these two Sacudi dudes I know, and they were dry humping each other on the floor for a second in our prayer hall...

E.S didnt say anything about Islam, mashaAllah shes never said anything of the sort, its just that some Somalis feel a knee jerk reaction the minute anyone says something about KSA's morality police...as if the diin and them are inseparable...they are human and make mistakes too.
Lets not generalise all Saudis, they arent all homosexuals (I havent read all the posts, just incase the above has been aforementioned). All they need to do is follow Islam, women were granted freedom in Islam, this is Allahs punishment to the whole nation for twisting his perfect diin.

That kind of rule would never happen in Somalia inshaAllah...we need Sharia though, but not sharia made up by man, only diinta Ilaahey will stop us from becoming like the Saudis or the Iranians (who hang and stab people when they are sentenced to death)...A version of the Islamic courts, without the 'no cinema' and stabbing people in the name of Sharia...what do you think? Is there a way in which we can implement Sharia without certain ignorant people going astray with it?

Sharia is important..but its not very precise or clear cut and to be honest problematic....some of the laws are
thats why u have so many interpretations..in any case guidance must be sought from the Qur'an the unerrant word of God and the authenticated ahadiis..and where ever the diin is silent on a certain thing we can refer to 'urf' or the local customs and traditions of the particular place.
so the resulting form of government is unqiuely Somalian..we have incorporated every aspect ..diin dhaqan etc.
i dont know if this makes sense.
