You think you are right and they think they are right. There must be a compromise and yall can meet in the middle or else nothing will work. If yall truly love ur country and people you will find a solution. This shit has been going on for 19 years now.

The survival of somalis as a nation depends absolutely on peace and that they come together. Somalis are threatened society, dispersed around the world, lost, in confusion, preyed upon by everyone. Those who are left behind deal with poverty, insecurity, deseases and clan wars which erupt from time to time. Given due consideration to all the facts above, dealing with the devil seems palatable. Problem is, will the devil acknowledge the same dangers and feel the pain of his society and therefore change his ways to better the future? I am not sure. I can't have my hopes high as all my hopes were dashed time and and again by the same criminals. How often did we say "this time things might change and let us support the efforts"? A/Y was someone I argued on his behalf and said often that considering the options we were dealt with, he was the best among the worst. I see my idealism and optimism were both misplaced. There is talk of peace now, but as I read A/Y's words, I dread the future. I like to blame Al-shabaab for their intransigence as well, but given what they have witnessed and are fighting against, morality calls for their support even if I disagree with whatever wrongs they committ in their fight against enemy who has shown no mercy to young, old, religious and nonreligious alike.

It is that need within me to want to correct the senseless comments sometimes people write. If it bothers you to read me, your break is due, I don't like participating in clan politics for its obvious monstrosity. And yes, I have given up on Somalia not out of my choice but to keep my sanity.

I know plenty of them who are at the forefront in fighting for Somalis and Justice. One can never blame a clan collectively for anything. And if you look at the TFG makeup, You have men united to realize their dreams of ruling somalis at whatever cost. Those who opose them are likewise made-up of all somalis. It is not only some members of the Majeerteen clan who support the TFG, but I have seen others who are not related to A/Y and who support the TFG. If one believes the TFG represents the Somali clans, morality is not an issue, Ehtiopian troops are your better friends than some somalis would be, then you are more likely to support them because you have a member allegedly representing your clan. If you take a different tac, you oppose them.
PS:
Cawar, Sheekh Shariif would do a good job if they let him rule Somalia.
