Gurey,

I recommend you read "Somalia: From the Dawn of Civilization to Modern Times" & "The Preferred Future Development in Somalia" by Mohamed Farah Aidid.

http://www.somalishir.org/governance/re ... /aidid.htm

I was given those two books by the late General (AUN)

Twisted logic and 1man

The Prince is a good work on politics and it delves a little into war, what was war in the 16th century europe but it cannot be compared to the Art of War, the art of war is on another level.

clautzwitz on war, the prince and even the strategikon of emperor maurice are similiar in that they address local problems and local solutions, and sometimes these are adaptable to other ciscumstances and times.

Art of war is on a higher level maybe thats why some people do not get it.
and its applicable to the 15th century the same way as it applies to today and even in the future.

I wonder why basra and other americans are so enamoured of tales of british upper class life?

I prefer F Scott Fitzgerald and the Great Gatspy upper class americans
