The Shifta wars happened in the 1960s, but Kenya's government launched an attack on Wajir that killed 400 Somalis just recently in 1984.

Still though, I don't think Kenya should apologize. Somalis are naturally savage and do their best to destroy every government they are part of. Kicking their ass is an obligation for any society that wants to survive.

on the other hand there is no way kenyan somalis are ever going to join somalia. even somaliland & puntland dont want to be part of somalia. only Ogaden can join somalia and they can form a joint state.

somalis dont have the political and social skills to co-exsist with other ethnic groups. untill they develop that there is no hope for them. in kenya somalis took over a mosque from local kenyans and imposed a somali speaking imam who was giving khutbah in somali to non somali worshipers, the worshipers eventually rebelled
