my belief is that there should really be only 1 formula , for somalia the one man one vote formula. im not naive and i im not going say that somalis should abandoned the qabil system because it not going to happen, but we should make distinquish a between qabil and qabyaalad. in the sense that there is nothing wrong with having pride in your tribe and their past achievements ( understood in historical terms). you should help your kinmen in the right way. that is the qabil side of anythings. as for the qabyaalad side which involves attacking others qabils on the basis of their tribe and help your fellow tribemen even when they're doing wrong for the good of the tribe, this is what is killing us & we do need to get rid of and can do it. when you practice qabyaalad we all lose out even if your tribe is doing good in relative to others. in here (snet) and everywhere i hear people saying we're jm we control somalia, we're isaaq we toppled the barre goverment but i really can see what anybody can proud off because collectively we're disgrace compared to other nations

What Somalia are you people talking about? I think this formula only works to cement the aspirations for sovereignty by the citizens of Somaliland. It undermines every demographic in Somaliland. Nevertheless, as long as Somalia Proper continues to inject Somaliland into its equation it will continue to see no results. It high time to reinvent the wheel.
