Somaliweyne there is no need for paranoia.
somalis are an open book, there is no need for clandestine information gathering,
people will provide sensitive information to everyone readily..
its a cultural thing, it probably due to not bieng under colonialism for such a lenghtly time that it affects our phyche.

the arabs used to be juts like us, they were happy go lucky, very open mouthed and never suspected anything,
today most arabs will susypect thier own mother is an isreali spy, and that there is a CIA agent under every bed.


it seems somalis are heading the same direction..


I dont suspect James dhal, becuase i have done exactly the same thing on other forums,
just out of curiousity..


before i join an oromo or isreali forum , i extensivley read all the material i can find, and use the forums as a source of more detailed info.

I don't think it's weird to be interested in Somali history, it's fascinating and mysterious.
I originally thought so little was written about Somali history (and what was written contradicted itself and other authors) because of a lack of interest, but in reality it's due to Somalis being a very cagey lot who don't like to discuss their history, unless they're bashing another clan, at which point a version of history spun to make that clan look bad emerges.

I bet confusing anthropologists and historians was a sport in colonial Somalia.
