Define bravery
Entering a mafresh with older guys high on jaad and aspirine and showing them pictures of you with their daughters having fun in a hotelroom while you're sipping on their shaah and take the last drops of cadeys.
Now that's bravery...!

Lugo, to me bravery is an individual who's tough enough to meet defeat face on, someone who can acknowledge it if its predestined but never accepts it to be long-term. Someone who has the humility to feel pain and share pain with others and who's compassionate of others wishes and necessities even it means showing a weak point from time to time. Someone who against an attacker will bodly take their stand because their heart will show fear for no man.

I am surprised and shocked at your definition. Now i am kinda doubting if u r really a tomboy?
The true definition Sir Lug is looking for or i mean, the true definition of bravery in a real somali point of view- is the opposite of surrender. Fight till u die. The opposite of sissiness. Somalis tend to value fighting and knifing someone rather than a diplomatic peace talk. Essentially, if Somalia had a government, there would be NO democractic party, only the aggressive republicans. Essentianlly, somalis are republicans by nature.

What u say Sir Lug?

Bravery is dead my friend..so is chivalry. Its how much you have, how deceptive you are and things of that nature.
But chivalry was killed by women.

Basra,
Lemme clarify one hing for you first, you are not bestowed with knowledge about Somalis and Somalia as we all know, your tiny enlightenment is confined to HY and your immediate family.
The middle regions define bravery in a certain way, whereas Northerners define it differently, and my township (Kismayo) and it's environs define it totally different than those two. So, Somalis do not see this characteristics eye to eye. Anywhere North or West of Beled Weyne, kiling, looting (livestock) is a normal occurence and death is accepted as an habitual episode. In my hometown, fist fight is something you will hear from time to time but you will never hear a gunshot or someone that has been stabbed.
