Just read NY Times' Letters to Editors and get the euphoria and excitement of people from all walks of life, how the election of Obama as the First black president in the most powerful country has broken the myth of racial barriers or the glass ceiling. Many whites didn't vote for him just because of the fact that he was Black, African, mystery man, Muslim, foreigner, monkey, you name it. But he overcame all the name-calling, mudslinging, ridicule , racial slurs and focused on real issues that matter to the people the most and messages that transcend racial myths and prejudices.

It's moral boost for the African Americans, one step more in the right direction. The Blacks in America have achieved tremendous feats more than any minority blacks in the Muslim world, Europe, Asia or any where else. Part of the reason is that America was founded on the ideals of equality, fraternity, and freedom. Though race will still play a factor , it won't be the crisp divide upon which everthing is measured, decided and implemented. Networking, pursuit of knowledge, political participation, trust and hardwork shall be our guide. For instance, you can be one of the owners of major corporations by simply buying one share. The sad thing is our people wrongly assume that skycrappers, beautiful houses in neighborhoods, are simply owned by rich people when in fact anyone with an annual salary of $20,000 can own upto 10 big properties.

Problem is, Europeans are the natives of their countries. Madow, Arab, other Africans are not, so they never will have the chance to run the white man's country.

America is the ultimate melting pot, anything is possible here.

Wrong!! There are many who don't buy Obama's fake HOPE or CHANGE. There are many realists who expect little or no good from Obama, so don't round everyone into your answer 'Waa maya.'
