snoop that is why I asked...generation wise Omar-Muxamoud is equal to Xusseyn Yusef for us...which will mean.. all of farax-ugaas...bah-abaskuul..bah-dir...cali-xusseyn..siyaad-xusseyn..reer-axmed..yabbar xusseyn and all these clans would be included and we would be like 4x their size...
tan kale...captain tries to put down coolposion..but siyaad xusseyn are much bigger then maxamed-omar...
and they are equal generation wise....its just that xusseyn yusef is too big we don't use it as an umbrella like omar-muxamoud do...

omar mohamud has 17 sons, and likewise the other subclans. dont forget marexan (ahmed) was born 4 or 5 generations before majeerteen (mohamed). So you guys already had a head start.

Actually Muhammad, I'm thinking that you mean that
Faarah shirwac, and not
Omar maxamuud. The Patriarch Omar Mohamud had about 6 or 7. The most notable ones being
Isxaaq Cumar (Where faarax Shirwac Cigale comes in), then
Cabdi ciise, Maxamed cumar, Ibrahim cumar, and a few others. Faarah Shirwac was the one who had 17, where basically the majority of CM's (Reer:
Mahad, abdille, Khalaf, Mohamed, xirsi's and etc's.) come from. Some people can count up to 22 generations to get to Omar maxamuud. I had a reer khalaf lady once tell me that she counted 3 to faarah shirwac tho, while the average decendant of his counted atleast 8 or 9. Guess it had something to do with khalaf being the last one or something. But it was still pretty weird talking to her.! I found myself looking @ her like she oughta be locked up in some museum in mudug or something.

lol.

Sadeboi, lol. And this lady wasnt like in her 90's or anything either, which was the funniest part. lol. Anyways, I've always wondered whether it matterd how just how many you count up, (5 vs. 8 or something) in terms of being big. You could grow horizontally you know, (All your relatives from the last 4 grandfathers kids being over 15 a piece) as opposed to someone else who' has greater number vertically, but whose grandfathers had only like 3 or 4 kids along the way. Whats with the whole Laangaab thing then? lol. Is it only said in extreeme cases, or is it just a baseless cay? lol. Its just not very clear.
