Z, Me have no problemo.. but as they say..: Hirku intuusan ku soo gaarin baa laga quusaa/muuda..
I am giving my .02 cents about the things I have seen others go through.. and me thinks you are not being totally frank about the issue at hand to say the least.
PS. your little pep talk to surrender(as evidence) about keeping the man busy and never let him have time to be free or even think.

Yet in this thread :

you are passionately defending men's rights to polgamy and the need to follow Islamic teachings accordingly. Bal wax yar iifahamsi as I don't follow your clear stance into these things. Tell me how am I brain washed when you are the one willing to work a 9-5 shift, raise kids and let him have it his way i.e my main focuse Polygamy? be a stay home father etc.
You talk about women's rights yet you deprive yourself of your own basic rights by switch the role that Allah has given you as a women, a mother, a sister, a wife etc by falling for western ideology's quest for women equality when its crystal clear to us (Muslims) that when it comes to both genders they are equal in the eyes of ALLAH but serve different logistics in society. Again anigu kuma fahamsani, ma canjeelada suubaxi aa dubaasid ba kugu dhib ah mise adiga aya brain wash lagu samaye?![]()

see i knew i was never going to be forgiven for that thread.!![]()
im going to try to explain where i statd with men/marriege/housewife/house work!!
i defend plogmay because is their right of life to have more than one women. is halaal for a man to have more than one wife in other words, and if he fufills he duties to me for example as a husband i don see why he shouldnt marry another women! i have no problem with it!!![]()
but at the sametime i defend women's rights because i believe men and wome. YES do have different roles in life and can be equal in having those different roles. but there is nothing wrong with it if woman is willing to further her "role" in life as in education and work. there is no where that it states its haraam for women to work and go to school.
and at the sametime there is nothing wrong with it if the man is told or decides to help he's wife with houswork and the children. afterall, kaligeed maysan dhalin!!! its just our cuture (in fact many cultures) that states men/boys should sit on their as.s whilst the girl does everything at home. i surely wont raise my kids, boys or girls that way in'sha'alaah.
long story short, men can have more than one wife providing he fufills he's duties to the first one, women CAN/SHOULD work/educate if they want, and finally men SHOULD/HAVE to help their wife in the housework.
hope that answerd your question!!!![]()

Surrender,
Let me know when you write that contract dear. We need to make sure lot of things are clear to your future husband as things seem really blurry at this point.

as for my pep talk..there's nothing sinister about it, i am just advising my sister surrender of what to do to keep a man happy so he don't look elsewhere.

surrender- you know what i don't understand, and i'm really hoping you can answer this for me, is..say you were married, your life was perfect, you were happy, your husband was happy...you've got everything you could ever ask for (kids, materialistic things etc) why would he want to be with someone else? because if he did then that would mean that something is lacking, you're not making him happy, you're not giving him whatever it is that he needs. All in all he's not satisfied with you. Am i right?
