Shareef is a idiot. He had 4 months to build a security force and instead wanted to rely on tribal militias headed by Maxamed Dheere and what not. He's gonna get whopped.

Bro, the biggest mistake he made was he declined an offer of 4000 Mudulood militia and turned it down because " he didn't want to appear as qabil-president." Instead, he relied on a ICU militia whose loyalties were divided and this cost him in the end. If he would have armed and financed a force of 4000 Mudulood fighters, the outcome would have been different.

As the saying goes, if you try to become friends with every-one, you end up losing all your friends. This is sadly Sharif's case.

Wheres the manpower coming from?

Majority of the manpower is coming from the government troops that came from Uganda and Jabuti. There are also assorted number of militia left by AY (~700) Abdi Qaybdid (~700) and left-overs of the ICU militias.

They are the ones doing the fighting with heavy shelling provided by the AMISOM.

Sharif is not an Abgaal leader!

The biggest problem with Mudulood is that the educated class is not taking the initiative to change the situation of their people. Luckily, unlike other major clans, Mudulood doesn't suffer from conflicts within the group and with little change of leadership can avert the situation.
