To be honest the first time someone seriously asked me about Halal was in London. I just say bismallah and get my grub on. I think U.K Somalis have that luxury because of the large Muslim presence (south Asian and Arab) in the U.K while the U.S is a big country as big as Europe without as much Muslim presence.

So, you're one of those who subscribes to the notion that what's (food, drink, zina/macsiyo, etc) xaraam has been forbidden because it tastes delicious? You couldn't be more than wrong. What's xaraam has been forbidden because it's qurun, and because it seriously hurts your health and soul. SMH.
