Ureysoo wrote:None of my family members and relatives care about tribes (except few oldies). This is something I really dislike about them, Lol. They are so welcoming and hell -- it bugs me 2 know, there are more non-Daroods circulating around us than Daroods. If I had the chance to scream "Qaldaan, Moryaan or Laangab" front of our guests/family friends faces. Heck I would have done it while ago. Yet, such behavior means "deporting me 2 Galkacyo", so I got 2 put on a bloody fake attitude. Do you lot know how much I struggle at the mere sight of a Qaldaan/Moryaan/other Laangabs strolling front of our doorsteps? I'll tell ya --- It feels like Basra is placed on top of my chest, and damn that HURTS. If I had the opportunity 2 stone them behind scene (without my parents/relatives knowledge) -- I'll make sure the stone will land exactly on their face. That's why I deliberately add salt into the tea, and act like I did a mistake.

I'll not set my eyes on a Non-Darood fella (even if PIGS learned how to FLY) . I consider that as violating moral-codes, and a major transgression. It can also lead 2 me pouring boiling water into my "Non-Darood" man's face, or placing a knife under the sheet - the moment he badmouths Mjs. Yeah, I can avoid all this, if I place a tag that says "Can be approached by Daroods only" across my forehead, and wear an extra reckless with the word "Dhabayaco" on it...

GENERAL_SNM wrote:I mean when I meet girls, walle I feel like they're trying to always figure out my qabil since I avoid speaking somali at all. They use two methods to try and figure out my qabil. One is the indirect method. It goes something like this, 'so what part of somalia you from'? The other method is the direct method, 'whats your qabil'. As you get older it becomes more of an issue. So how important is qabil to girls?

OR

I don't understand a word they say in Somali, and they say "Oh, lemme guess, idinka waxaad dhahdiin suuli, anaga musquul/xamaam"... They really try to do some CSI detective shit on your ass tryna figure out what part of Somali you from and what dialect you speak....  I'm thinking, dude just ask me my qabiil... Stop beating around the bush!
