its not what we lost. these hawiye idiots (because about 87% of the somali army in the barre regime was composed of hawiye who were mostly regular soldiers and maybe a 1 general) are firstly responsible for suppressing their own people then attacking issaqs in the north at the behest of their darood masters. baal today what have they achieved. xamari is ruined and issaqs and daroods have continued to live and build from the rubbles that the hawiye people induced. i think the hawiye soul is impure and possessed by evil spirits. only once its cured of its saqajaanimo tendencies will it be set free and able to unite with its brethren.

Somalia was a Russian Pawn, and then they thought they would be better off getting American support for the expansionist agenda into the Ogaden but Jimmy Carter balked on them.

Zoomalis were just puppets for both superpowers in a region they were wanting influence. As far as the super powers colluding, they did it in other parts of Africa...like Angola for example.

It is no coincidence that with the end of the Cold War, the end of Somalia came with it.

Somalis only beg for aid, aid, aid, aid...Somalia didn't produce much, there was no special industries for export besides bananas and some other things here and there

I read well over half of the national budget came from AID....SMH

Abti, compared to East Germany, Poland, we were far from being Russian pawns.
We pursued our national policies independent of any foreign interventions. Neither Kenya nor Ethiopia dared to kill Somali civilians in a systematic manner.

But we failed in internal politics and governance.
