I am against the people in Ogaden being oppressed by ethiopia and I would fully support them, but if you want to know why they lack any major support apart from Ogaden is because they have isolated themselves from the rest of somalis by calling themselves OGADENIA national liberation front. I mean how would a non ogaden person from that region feel in joining a jabhad with a clans name. The best solution for them is to use the previous name which was WSLF otherwise they will be confused as a qabiil jabhad like SNM or SSDF or RRA

Also I agree with general to an extent because if they do get independence from ethiopia they would like to become an independent country so thats hypocritical that they support an independent ogaden and they are against an independent somaliland.

but you cant compare ogadenia to somaliland. you can however compare somaliland to puntland. lets look at this way, somaliland want recognition because of the qabiil that reside in that area want to run their own affairs. they dont want to share political, economical aspect with the rest of the somalis. i have nothing against somaliand becoming their own country and i dont support ogadenia in seeking recognition if/when they are liberated from Ethiopia, but you have to understand something, somaliland's recognition has no reason and/or excuse in seeking idependence and no value for somali people. esp, if those somalis are from SSC.
