Actually, it was the local forces who liberated Ceel Dheere. Ahlu Sunnah got credit for no reason, and within hours of their claim, alot of the Wacesley leaders in Galgaduud and Mudug were criticizing Ahlu Sunnah for a battle they had no part of. Basically, Moalin Nur Mohamed Siyad talked on the radio and said that Wacesley people should liberate their lands from Yusuf Kuba Kududke who was leading Al Shabab militia into Ceel Dheere and within hours battles were raging which AL Shabab were kicked from the region.
