I think “Somali” dilemma is way beyond Khat.

Somali race has a social epidemic that can only be cured by complete separations. They simply hate each other.

Those who do the most killing don't chew khat. At least we think they dan't.

Why not? Emirates are the stars of the Gulf. Aren’t they?

No. I don’t think Khat is the main problem. Siyad banned it and he still failed miserably.

Somalis have deep scar tissues that will not heal that easily. Only naïve person would think such.

Former Soviet Union thought they could get away with it but failed
Former Yugoslavia thought they could. You know the history there.
India couldn’t move on as a nation with Pakistan in the picture.

Some Arab nations tried it yet it didn’t work.

Somalis could have multiple nations in the AU and the UN with common political and economic interest. The inclusive concept of greater Somalia is a nice dream to have but like late Egal (RIP) put it, bigger and stronger African non-Muslim nations made sure that doesn't happen. It’s time for the new generation to rethink that concept and look for the alternative. There is no need to be miserable together while we can be happier apart. Even ALLAH allows divorce when un- reconcile differences exist among parties.

It’s NOT all about qabiil with Somalis. We have different social and political ideology. People are different in Djibouti, Hargeisa, Jiga Jiga and Mogadishu. Our priorities are different. Our way of life is different. Somalis are more dynamic than you think.
Some of them do the Niiko dance while others do the two step format. Some of us do the Dhaanto while others do the kabeebay. Some of us say jiir while others called dooli.
My point is, Somalis have more differences than similarities.

Let me first say, the thread wasn't about wether Somalis be seperated or not...But it seems you are more interested in that area....

a). Great India, Great Soviet Union etc can't be compared to a tiny Somalia.I think you are comparing oranges and apples here...How can you compare a tiny tiny country with a population of almost 12 million with an alomst 1.5 billion population?

Why don't you look at the Germans that have came together? Why didn't the United States Of America...Seperated into 50 nations? Because they know one thing:

United we stand, divided we fall...

A good example is the ant...We all saw what it does when it is united...

b) I think we are the most homogeneous people in this world. Waxaan ku "idhi" and waxaan ku "Iri" is not a big deal. BTW those of us from the north do more Niko nowdays

c) Khat is a multi-million-dollar waste for our poverty ridden society..It drained the little income that was coming from the diaspora...It makes all those Moryaans, Dhuljiifis and Waxmagarad be loyal to a warlord simply because he gives them the Khat..They would do everything to get the khat anyway..

D) Even though Allaah SWT made the dalaaq 0r divorce Halaal still it is one of the actions he never likes...But don't you think before a divorce happens there should be efforts for reconciliations/ counseling from relatives, friends or professionals?

Anyway, back to my topic do you have any other suggestion besides the divorce and seperation?????? Ilaahay ninbuu kaa dhigee soo daa....Talo
