No one denies that there is anarchy and tragedy in Mogadishu. This is given and not my point. The fact that development and investment continues to be made in this city is what surprises me and in the final analysis shows the resilience and determination of the people of Mogadishu. I never made an argument that stated all was well in Mogadishu.

dont get me wrong bro, i find that hard to believe myself that with all this shyt happening just outside your front door,normal daily life takes place at the same time. im just saying i really do admire the resilience and determination of the people of Mogadishu, and thats the local shacab not these gun branding niggaz.

In the long run, the nihilists and their ideology will be defeated. But, I suspect, thing will get radically worse before its gets better. Let's hope for the best and the return of peace and stability that our country enjoyed from 1960-1969

I don't see the point to investing in and developing Xamar right now. It's akin to renovating a condemned building. Those resources would be better spent securing peace and stability, which are natural prerequisites for economic/infrastructural advancements.
