Healthcare reform was my top motivating factor in supporting the democrats. Now that is not visible, Fuck Democrats. They have no backbone and some of them are democrats by name only and GOP by creed.

What most people gloss over when comparing the GOP to the Dems is that the former is a single cohesive party with a narrow agenda where as the latter is a coalition of smaller groups.

Xoog, I think the difference is that some the former are more accommodating of other ideas/point of views, a liberal normally questions and wants to be questioned while conservatives are by definition a bit more rigid and intransigent . of course this is an oversimplification.

You're right, the dems don't generally run people out of the party because they're not in lockstep with the leadership 99.9% of the time where as once you're labeled a "RINO" members have no choice but to either leave politics or quit the GOP.
At the rate they're going it won't be long before the GOP becomes a regional party. And thats exactly what will happen if they keep embracing the birthers, deathers and all the other lunatics represented by the Tea Party movement.

In the event of them to be pushing for a third party, Only good thing that'll come outta is that it'll take away votes from the GOP candidate ensuring a democratic win. lol.

They're not stupid enough to alienate their tea baggers, thats their base besides they still haven't forgotten what happened with Ross Perot.

He did cost Bush Sr the election. Most people think Nader did some damage in 2000 but Perot siphoned 18% from Buchanan . Effectively handing Clinton the presidency for the second time.

lol....Poor nader, people were literally begging him not to run again in 04.

History sure does repeat, tho. Honestly, how much do u think the rednecks new found party has to do with having Steele, a black dude, in charge of the GOP? Yep, they're thaat narrow minded. lol.

Previously Rethugs used to fear the Libertarians from siphoning votes from them but this time Dem's greatest ally has emerged the crack head alliance between the conservatives and rednecks.
As for Obama, the tit for tat with the Rethug house members showed me he is still the same Obama that campaigned. This guy hasn't lost sight so all these side analyzers need to simmer down. You don't know this guy's strategy unless you are in the oval office with him.
