Since when did it become normal to rationalize an existing national state would turn around, close its eyes, and let foreign supplied rebel group to usurp law and order in the land?
Are you people daft? Do you not understand the world is greater than our clan living rooms and there are modes and methods of governance in a modern state?
Let us see a Mexican supplied rebel group take over parts of Arizona. Let's see what Obama and the Pentagon do.
This is bar far the silliest way to justify the killing of civilians. Voltage are you saying that since Sri Lanka was able to massacre Tamils and China is able to massacre Ugyurs, it was ok for the Somali government to kill its civilians? Are you saying that you would understand if Pentagon decides to bombard Arizona to eradicate rebel group
No I don't and I don't think anyone here condones the killing of civilians but let me ask you this.
Even Rukia Omaar, who Isaaq, wrote in that Human Rights Watch piece that the SNM 1.) hid behind civilian lines...meaning they shoot from behind mothers and let them take the return much the same way Al Shabaab shots at AMISOM from Bakara market and other civilian hot spots and 2.) the SNM themselves attacked the civilian population in their initial eviction from Ethiopia when they had no bases inside of the country. They attacked the civilians pretending to be the national army in order to get the people's full sympathy.
Nothing that occurred is black and white and while no one will condone the killing of civilians in Sri Lanka, or China or Somalia the premise stands that the governments have a right to act.
