europe had 500 years of non stop warfare, death and destruction, starvation

and they did pretty well.
But this is the 21 Century we were suppose to learn from that.

The world is moving fast and for us to even try to catch up, we need to get our house in order today!!!

Surrender inadeer we are not talking about when the civil war started for different people but in general.

I said the Somali civil war started when Somalinimo was lost and that was 1988.

The Civil war started in 1988 the day the snm invaded parts of what was then the republic of Somalia, entire cities where destroyed and Russian mig jet war planes where used to stop the snm from controlling the big cities of Somaliland, that’s when the war started , when thousands of people fled from Somaliland to Ethiopia , That’s when the civil war started. But the regime was ousted in 1991 26 January

How come no one says anything about the Sri Lanka fighting the Tamils and defeating them? Or the Turkish state waging a battle against the Kurdish separatists? What about the Chinese with the Muslim Ugyurs? Nigeria in the Biafra war? Yemen now against the Houthis? Or the Spanish state against the Basque separatists? Or what about Lincoln waging war against the south in U.S?

Since when did it become normal to rationalize an existing national state would turn around, close its eyes, and let foreign supplied rebel group to usurp law and order in the land?

Are you people daft? Do you not understand the world is greater than our clan living rooms and there are modes and methods of governance in a modern state?

Let us see a Mexican supplied rebel group take over parts of Arizona. Let's see what Obama and the Pentagon do.

Yes there are methods of goverance in a modern state, and the Somali government took up one that destroyed it's people and country from within.

A Government that heartlessly kills its own Civilians is no Government. We can atleast agree upon the method the Government used was wrong. Destroying the Second Captial in Somalia, while the Majority keep silent is perhaps our biggiest tragic of all.

This is bar far the silliest way to justify the killing of civilians. Voltage are you saying that since Sri Lanka was able to massacre Tamils and China is able to massacre Ugyurs, it was ok for the Somali government to kill its civilians? Are you saying that you would understand if Pentagon decides to bombard Arizona to eradicate rebel group

No I don't and I don't think anyone here condones the killing of civilians but let me ask you this.

Even Rukia Omaar, who Isaaq, wrote in that Human Rights Watch piece that the SNM 1.) hid behind civilian lines...meaning they shoot from behind mothers and let them take the return much the same way Al Shabaab shots at AMISOM from Bakara market and other civilian hot spots and 2.) the SNM themselves attacked the civilian population in their initial eviction from Ethiopia when they had no bases inside of the country. They attacked the civilians pretending to be the national army in order to get the people's full sympathy.

Nothing that occurred is black and white and while no one will condone the killing of civilians in Sri Lanka, or China or Somalia the premise stands that the governments have a right to act.

I should have stopped reading from that point onwards, so was she on the frontline or was she watching from the sidelines to witness this.

What proof do you have of this besides bedtime stories?
