One wrong does not make the other ones right. Remember that injustice breeds other injustice. If the world community had moved quickly to stop the previous regime's brutal actions early on, then the USC, SNM, SSDF etc would have also been very careful about what they did because of what punishment lay ahead for them.
Remember, one man will die but the consequences of his actions will live on.
What a pathetic attempt for an excuse.
SNM started simply because Mohamed Siad’s Finance Minister, Abdulahi Ahmed Addow, closed down the Berbera trade which at that time enjoyed a tax-free exportation, on what he claimed were fiscal grounds. This lead to the rise of the clan-based SNM rebel group who by showing their dissatisfaction with this move by the Finance Minister, decided to start taking arms against the Somali government
SSDF started simply because MJ always wanted to be in power of Somalia. They thought they could capitalize on the failure of the Ogaden war. They had no right to try and oust Barre
USC started simply because they were Hawiye
They removed Barre from Somaliland and eventually the whole Somalia. Yet SNM militias killed innocent non-Issaqs in Somaliland. Darood and Hawiye went to war and after that Hawiye went to war with themselves
Don’t blame Barre who trying to unify Somalia. Blame those greedy power hungry clansmen who always wanted power
