James there are mountains near Caabudwaaq called "Buurgeesoole" Buur = mountain. Geesoole = with peaks,

Mountains for Somalians=hills

There arent any "mountain" ranges in Somalia except for the Calmadow range which extends through Bosaaso all the way to Erigavo. Real cliffs, anything south of Carmo is completely flat lands, the coastal areas have the odd hills along Bari down to Mudug. But in land its flat.

I dont know about the south but since the highest peak in the former Somalia was the Calmadow range than the rest of Somalia is filled with small hills here and there.

Highest peak in Gedo according to that map is only 600 meters

While Sanaag and Bari have mountains over 2000 meters
