I met people from almost all of their sub-clans

Isaaq & Dir
Majerteen & Warsangeli
Habar Gedir

Together account for 98% of all Somalis here
Dude are you really living in Dubai???
Isaaq are a small minority today probably 10% of somalis in the UAE.
Up to 95 there were nearly 100,000 somalis in the UAE mostly in Abudhabi and 3/4 Isaaq and the rest Dhulos and Warsangeli and Gadabursi
a very small percentage of hawiye and other daroods.

nearly all of these fled for Europe and Americas and the rest returned to somaliland....

after 91 an entirely new population of somalis that do not speak arabic at all came mostly from moqadishu
today most somalis in dubai are hawiye
.

I was going to point this one out, but you beat me to it. If and when it rains in Dubai, the umbrella's go up in Xamar

Most Somalis in Dubai are MJs (reer Bari) and Hawiye

The somali commuity in London during the early 90's was practically all Isaaq; seamen and refugees, aswell as other reer waqooyi such as dhulbahante and ogaden. In my area we had only 5 somali families including mine. After 1994 and more recently 2006, I would say the majority of the somali community in the city is reer koonfur, ciddey yihiina ma ogi, koley hawiyey wada noqon karaan.

Cumar always says the truth, in London, all Somali clans are represented.

In Cardiff, Sheffield, Liverpool are still Issaq majority cities (excluding the native British)

Is Southall Issaq area as well? who owns the restaurants there?

in Slough, all Somalis can be found.

That is true, when I was younger say in the mid 90's I knew all the somalis in my area on first name basis, their families, qabil (90% of the time issaq). But post 2000, my area is swamped, walahi I could see other somalis and we dont even say salam to each other.

How did he achieve that? I thought Tower Hamlet is a Bangladeshi area? or maybe they voted for him as a Muslim brother?

NW? you mean Harlesden, Stonebridge, Willesden and Wembley area? heaps of Hawiye there

Many Hawiye in the north and south London as well. West London is pretty mix.

I have been to East London twice in 13 years, I just dont like the area, there is high unemployment in that area of London.

Liverpool has a good mix of both Isaaq iyo Darood (mostly warsan). I wouldn't say Isaaq is the majority.

Sheffield, is by far a isaaq majority city, i'd say 95% *or even higher*

Lesta, from what i've heard its a darood headquarter

BHAM?  no comment.
