There is no concept of sacredness for these nihilistic groups. Few months back a bomb was discovered that was planted in a mosque in Somaliland. On this Tuesday, a bomb was thrown into a mosque in Bhakara controlled by Hizb ul Islam and today we have this. So far, market-places, hotels, schools and mosques have been targeted. The next phase will be hospitals and elementary schools. Breaking news Sheikh. Xassan Dahir Aweys condemns this xaraam attack on the masjid and exposes the enemies of Islam who bomb masjids
http://www.gedonet.com/index.php?news=2153" Ficilkaasi waa mid cadowtinimo, waxaana ka shaqeynayaa falalkaasi dad doonaya in masjidda laga cararo, mana aha islaam waxa falkaasi fuliyey waana arrin muslimiinta lagu baqdin galinayo''
Re: Bloody attack in Somalia kills 30
Abdalla shideyeeye was the masjid called, but it was not really a masjid because all they did was praise Usama Bin Laden
the funny thing is this was not done by ahlusunnah or tfg but their khawarij frineds xisbul islam

Aweys knows that Al Shabab will target him in retaliation. He is a coward. Remember when the Barre dude who was his commander was gunned down and on Tuesday when Abu Hurayra mosque was attacked with bombs, on both occassions he kept quite. And yet, when Al Shabab leaders are targeted he is quick to condemn them. They will come for him sooner or later, mark my word and I can't wait for the day

Re: Bloody attack in Somalia kills 30
The hostilities between Shabab and Hizbul Islam have died down recently and both have returned to there shared goal of fighting the Goverment, so i doubt the attack in Bakaara was related to the hostilities between the two groups. The targets of the mosque were exiting, and the tactic of assisinating individuals exiting mosques is not new in the current Somali conflict. It could have been set-off by Ahlu sunnah which is enroaching on bakaara. The specifics of the attempted Somaliland mosque attack, i do not know but Shabab has not been known to attack mosques.Even the Shaamo attack which they rejected was there own is under great suspicion as to who the culprits were.Twisted_Logic wrote:There is no concept of sacredness for these nihilistic groups. Al-Shabab and its plaque of terror should be violently rejected but attacking a Mosques is an act of "Terrorism".Both Islamist groups are not known to employ such tactics, its not an inter-Islamist conflict.I believe the Warlords or some Foreign Intelligence entity is the architect of this attack.

Al Shabab is part of an international terrorist fraternity that is notorious for bombing civilians targets. Al Shabab's mentors the Al Qaida bomb, on daily basis, mosques, markets, schools, hospitals and other public gatherings. To place these attacks beyond Al Shabab is just naive. They have taken credit for all the suicide bombings in Somalia and they are the only group that does and takes credit for suicide bombings. The hotel Shamo attack was a classic Al Qaida attack and both government officials and students and other members of the civil society died in those attacks. The photoshopped pictures fail to achieve anything.
Back in 2005 and especially in the vicious year of 2004 where legions of Somalis educated, businesses and media personalities were assassinated, Al Shabab used to deny it not because they had any decency or regrets about their actions but because they didn't want the public to turn against them. As they grew more stronger, they became bolder and started taking credit for the same acts they used to distance themselves from. Same way, they have only started administrating their draconian interpretations of the Quran recently when they monopolized violence in Somalia. They denied the Hotel Shamo Bombing strictly from strategical point of view. There is not a single soul that believes in the warlords to the point that they will carry out suicide bombings on their behalf. The whole proposition is hilarious.
The recent story where people that have Al Qaida mentality planted bombs in Somaliland is a clear example that these anarchists are very capable of carrying out such attacks
Give it few more months and years, and you will see Al Shabab publicly releasing videos of its "martyrs" that bombed rival mosques. It is the trajectory of Somali conflict.
