Now, now
X.Playa, you're not adhering to your own rules. You said no more one-liners.

Abdi,
I went fishing for them once...good fun, but I hated the smell...I never knew that how fishy some fish could smell. I really want some pweza cooked in coconut milk and tomatoes and chilli...wow that was the best food I've had the whole time I was there.

GedoGurl,
I had an uncle who made a roaring trade in Kingfish that he would catch in Hobyo and ship down to Kenya and Tanzania.

There is this family in Zanzibar, I think they are Hawiye...did you have any relatives living in Zanzibar in the Shark industry by any chance? I know it sounds like a silly question, but you may know them its a small Island after all.

GedoGurl,
Nothing beats eating fresh seafood at Furudani with your summer love while catching the sea breeze.

They changed Forodhani now though...Aga Khan really invested in it but it lost its style and no locals hang out there anymore. I heard you can only stand or sit on the Barazas. No more summer loving night time pic nics in the dark places under the trees
PB - whats the most exotic food you have ever eaten?

GedoGurl,
Negative darling, you were misinformed, locals go to it, its cleaned up really nice. There are a tab bit too many hippy Scandinavian chicks but otherwise its nice.
There is this wonderful pilaf/biriyani joint next to the Port. Excellent food and it cost only $10 for 3 people.
Have you been to the Spice plantations ? Its beautiful. I miss Zanzibar and want to go to Pemba/Mafia & Pangani next time

Thats what some locals were saying, I bet its not buzzing as it used to.
The best place for Pilau is Luqmaans restaurant, near the big baobab tree not far from Jaws Corner, it might even be cheaper than where you just mentioned too...gorgeous food. Ive been to the plantations a couple of times, first time Ive ever seen any spice growing, Ive yet to go to Jozani forest though. Where you there recently?
