Italian who is E1b1b1a1b how is that possible?

What do the numbers on the side mean? If they are the same, does it mean same ancestry
E1b1b1a1b is 8,500 years old, plenty of time for some African fellow to end up in Sicily somehow.
Sicily was once conquered by the Caliphate, perhaps some soldier originally from Sudan or southern Egypt decided to settle there.

James Dahl,

I had my results a while back too. The most interesting thing is that I'm the most closely related in that bunch to Hyperactive. Our markers are the exact same, while the Hartis are a little more different from me. I'm Majerten btw.
Really, exact same 12/12 match?

I see one difference now. DYS 388. Mine is 12, hyperactive is 13. But the rest is the same.

After looking at the spreadsheet and analyzing everyones result, I come to the conclusion that Dawwa's results are bullshit.

Wat does a match for the 12 numbers imply? Common ancestory around 1000 years ago, or less lthan 1000years?

Cool, I added you to my spreadsheet of results.

Easy, let's say your 12 marker haplotype is the original Darood haplotype on those 12 markers, maybe there are mutations on other markers that haven't been tested, but on those 12 markers that's the "Darood" haplotype.

Then Cinque and hyperactive's subclan have, since that time, had mutations on those markers, but your subclan hasn't. Maybe your subclan has had mutations but on other markers we haven't tested.

Or there's always the possibility that you guys are Darood and other folks have become Darood but were originally something else.

James, makes sense. Ali hussien is a very small sub section of marehan, so I can see how hyper, cinque have more mutations because their subclans of their respective clans is a lot bigger. So generally speaking are u seeing qabiil trends in these dna types? Like hawiye dys codes, daarood dys codes etc. Also scientifically how long ago do I share an anscestor with those two guys I matched with?

It's hard to say exactly, 12 marker match has a big margin of error, while it's easier to narrow down the MRCA (Most Recent Common Ancestor) with more markers to compare, 67 being ideal.

I have matched them up, some people are from ysearch.org not SomaliNet but they are from Somalia, so I do not know the clans and so have put "Uncertain1" and "Uncertain2".

AbdiWahab252's results match the third most common haplotype, which I have dubbed the temporary name "Modal E1b1b1a1b-HabarGidir" for lack of a better name. It is not known at this time if this is in fact the modal haplotype of all of Hawiye or indeed only Habar Gidir, as AbdiWahab252 is the only known Hawiye to have gotten his results back.

hyperactive's results do not match any haplotype in the Hallenberg study, so it is a newly observed haplotype! That said it is close to many other Somali haplotypes in the study, and only has one marker that is "out of the ordinary".

IRONm@n's results match a haplotype that is tied for fourth most common in the Hallenberg study with three other haplotypes also having 9 examples of the haplotype, and so I have dubbed their haplotype "Modal E1b1b1a1b-Ogaden", for lack of a better name as hyperactive is the only fellow I know the clan of.
This "Somali Demes" is illegal just copy past from Hallenberg et al 2005, Immel 2009, Tillmar 2009 , FTDNA.
