Your talking about the battles of the early 1990's when the SNM attacked from the east (Gabiley) and the Cisse attacked Saylac from the west (Djibouti).abdalla11 wrote:I was always under the impression of Gadabursi. It's clearly that they are among the educated elite, but they're also fierce fighters. Imagine the isaaq and ciise ganging up on you , that means attack from both east and west, and defending yourself well and not losing one inch of land. this further more proofs that you need strenght, you can't survive with politics or education in Africa
My cousins were martyred in that war. They went with the militias and they were part of the group which captured Lawyacaddo.
The cisse were driven out from Hariirad, Abdiqadir, Jidhi, Geerisa. It was hard days but alhamdullilah we never lost one inch of land except that we gained by the favour of Allah because Allah loves not the transgressors.
SNM lost parts of western gabiley region and ciise militias were driven out from Geerisa and the border areas of Djibouti.

The SNM-USF (Ciise) alliance died after that war. We did a good job in driving a wedge between them
