Somali culture can be so perverted.Perfect_Order wrote:shaash saar, gombo saar, iyo todoobaad all the same.
Yeah qoraxeey that's it, the thing is it's suppose to be brutally painful for the somali girls cuz of guudnimo, and this is suppose to motivate the couple to persevere, poor girls. That's also why the womenfolk hit the men with sticks when they are trying to open the xeer so they know that they know just a little bit of the pain they are going to cause.![]()

Re: Can you bood buranbur?
actually it's a pretty creative way to get the man to be merciful and empathetic to the women. Now whether the women should go through with the cause of all that suffering is a different matter all together.BlackVelvet wrote:Somali culture can be so perverted.Perfect_Order wrote:shaash saar, gombo saar, iyo todoobaad all the same.

Re: Can you bood buranbur?
It's not the mercy that is perverse. It's the sowing up of a human being to 'protect' their chastity, it being 'xishood la'an' for a bride to smile or dance at her wedding and then making a song and dance about a married couple having sex. It's all twisted imoPerfect_Order wrote:actually it's a pretty creative way to get the man to be merciful and empathetic to the women.
